    We chose the microwave to replace our our Amana which worked well for 15 years. The key requirement was to fit in the same space. After about 2 years, the button to open the door starts to fall apart. The plastic fittings on button and on the microwave fail. A year later, the LED elements fail. So, a 3 and 8 look the same. Now, the button to open the door is completely busted.

    I love using the unit, but I kinda had hesitation due to the seemingly light weight of such a large unit. Well, I found out why it’s so lightweight. The metal is thin and apparently not very well made. The unit started resting about three months out of the one-year warranty and after that it just went downhill. I cook a lot so I am constantly cleaning my appliances and this is the only one to ever have done this. It is a June 2022 manufactured date and was purchased in early 2023.

However after the 3rd year something goes wrong the 1st one wouldn't open, 2nd one stopped turning and now 3rd one won't heat anymore. Loved the design just wished it would last. Each time they had just passed the warranty, and the extended warranty is of no use. Need a new one that will fit the trim kit any solutions for this

    Great microwave, but we are on our second one (and now looking for a.THIRD) because of the door button breaking. We had our built ins designed for this microwave and the trim kit, so options for proper dimensions are slim. Looking at reviews, it does not seem like they have fixed the plastic hinge on the button. Of course, the hinge breaking has happened out of the warranty period both times.

    Installed this microwave in September 2023 and it stopped working in Feb 2025 so, it lasted a little over a year. It won't heat anymore. Although it carries a warranty of 10 years for the magnetron, you have to pay out of pocket for the professional diagnostic and you may only qualify for 10% discount on a new unit because LG says the microwaves are difficult and expensive to repair. We see no value in buying an expensive microwave for so little warranty.

    Microwave has been decent. When I opened the door to wipe down the inside I heard a click and the light went out. When I looked closely I noted that the light bulb had fallen down into the side wall and was still on. I cannot find any videos or instructions on how to fix it, which is very frustrating. Nothing on the website that I can find. The connection must have been loose as it wasn’t touched. It shouldn’t require paying a repairman for this.

    The push button to open the door broke with very light use after 3 1/2 years. To replace it requires taking the appliance apart; no point in replacing it considering cost and labor-pretty much the microwave is dismantled to replace it- and knowing faulty design will break again. Taking my loss and buying new microwave another brand.

    I love it! It has a spacious 2.0 cu. ft. capacity, which is great for heating up larger dishes. The Smart Inverter Technology cooks food evenly, so there are no cold spots. The Sensor Cooking feature is super handy because it adjusts the cooking time automatically, making it easy to use. Plus, cleaning is simple thanks to the EasyClean Interior.     [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this in July 2023 as part of a renovation product but due to some delays it was not put into service until May 2024. We used it for 5 months until it would start to arc and smoke even when microwaving a glass bowl of water or butter. There was no metal or anything like that in the microwave. I removed the waveguide cover to see if it was just that which needed to be replaced, but the metal body of the microwave behind it was corroded and the part behind that looked corroded and terrible. I expect better quality. I also had a bad experience in 2020 with an LG refrigerator which broke in the first 3 months. I will have to buy a new microwave since this one has just a 1 year warranty.
