Hardware on gate broke within 8 months of installation and now gate comes off completely whenever you try to open it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great gate! The only downfall is I found it a little hard to install which is why I bumped it down to four stars. However this gate has kept my son safe when he comes out of his room in the night and for that it’s a win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect gate! This gate adjusts easily and fits most openings. Its solid not flimsy and keeps my grand babies safe from falling down the steps. Its a perfect height and the babies can’t reach anything that could make it unstable. Perfect for letting my y dogs out of my living room as well! The color is great and blends with any neutral decor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted this gate to work, but installation was incredibly frustrating. The instructions were unclear, parts didn’t line up correctly, and no matter how many times we adjusted it, the gate never felt secure or level. It took far longer than advertised and still didn’t function properly. For something meant to keep toddlers safe, it was disappointing and stressful to install, and we ultimately had to remove it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After nearly breaking my finger and spending 3 hours trying to figure out the installation of this gate, it is a nice gate. The instructions could really use some updates, which I provided below to help everyone else out. 1. Correct # of pieces? Not for me- or so I thought!- Part A (2 pieces) fits Perfectly flush together. I continued installing & eventually figured out , they were stuck together (pic provided). 2. Step 4 when I was “clipping” the gate together. This proved the be far more difficult than it looked in the manual. The manual shows both clips installed label side facing up. I clipped the top pieces on- no problems! I couldn’t get the bottom gate to clip together for the next 40 mins- save the time here- flip the clip over & install the clip upside down (warning label facing up), see pics 3. You need to have your clips sit flush in order for them to work properly (see pics) If your clips are not, do not continue install. I fixed this by turning the warning label facing up and toddlerloo sign faced the ground. 4. Last comment- I installed on my drywall/ aka “Sheetrock” as Google describes drywall. I have to imagine that is not ideal if someone were to throw their entire weight at the gate. The manual does say only install to wood or metal which makes sense from a stability standpoint but not always possible that you need a gate where you have a stud. The box included drywall screws so I used those & so far after about a months worth of use, the gate is sturdy. I was so frustrated after installation that I was going to give it 3 stars but it has held up and is slim and sleek, which is perfect for the area I needed it for. Overall it is a good gate. Unfortunately I do not know the cost as this is a free promotion item otherwise I'd weigh in on that as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was one of the best things we’ve ever seen. The design is very sleek. The height is perfect. The appearance goes with our aesthetic in our home. We did have to drill a couple of holes into the wall. That’s fine.

It requires installation into the wall so that’s part of what makes it stronger than the ones that don’t require installation. It also has bars which make it more difficult for my baby to climb because she is a climber and if it had that circular pattern that’s sometimes on gates, she would have used the circles to put her feet in and climb. The gate is also easy to open and close for parents coming in and out and it’s also low enough for me to step over. It’s a great gate with good width extension for those in need of a gate! This checks off all boxes.

A little hard with assembling, but we were able to get it to work. It’s perfectly in our stairway. Easy for my oldest kids to open, but for my youngest kids not to figure it out.

There's no way of getting it to stay so if you lift it a little to high it comes right out of the brackets.
