I had never ordered from

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never ordered from this company before so I was interested in service and quality of the products. The order did not ship when promised. There was no communication about when the products shipped or when to expect them. Customer service was patchy and lacking basic communication with me. The table was so cheaply made that I am not keeping it and some of the wood components were split out and couldnt be put together without replacement. The brushed effect on the table makes it hard to clean. The color did not match the chairs. Overall, I will not order from here again.

The table cracked in less

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The table cracked in less than 30 days of owning it. I reached out to customer support multiple times with no response. The one year warranty is a joke. Would not purchase from here again. And I don't recommend this furniture either. It says it's solid wood, it's so light it slides around my floor. And as I said, it cracked right down the middle a couple of weeks after assembly.

Look for something else.

Our second purchase from Plank and Beam. We loved our first purchase. This one--what a disappointment! First disappointment was that the top came in three peices, rather than one. Maybe for $450, that's the best you can get? I'd like to see that feature be more apparent in the product photos. I probably would have second thoughts. Second disappointment was, after a couple hours of assemby time, I flipped over the table only to find that there were gaps between the panels. Large enough that I could see the floor below, and large enough to get food stuff in between and be a real pain to clean. I flipped the table over again and ensured the bolts were tight, but to no avail. I frankly don't like the feel of the wire brush either. We haven't used it since I'll be returning it because of the gaps, but another review mentioned it was hard to clean. I can see that being the case very easily.
