This is a terrible teapot
Instructions state that you must not turn heat higher than medium so it takes much longer to get your water to boil than other teapots. Whistle is so faint that you can't hear from another room so you have to babysit it. I returned it.

I spent a lot of time plagued by indecision reading one-star reviews of a LOT of moderately-to-very-expensive tea kettles, and it seemed that no matter how much people shelled out, there was always some quality issue. Plagued by indecision, frustrated that they just don't make 'em like they used to, and also not wanting to continue to drink rust from my trusty nine-year-old now rusty tea kettle, I decided that if expensive tea kettles are going to chip or rust or not whistle or heat too slowly anyway, I might as well just buy an inexpensive one that I could pick up the next day at my local Target. Yeah, $12 is probably a suspiciously low price for a tea kettle in this economy, but how bad can it be? Pretty bad, it turns out! -It has a Prop 65 warning about causing cancer and/or reproductive harm. Which, maybe everything does these days but still I don't love that -There is also a warning that says there may be lead in it?? -The combination of how the bottom of the kettle is not completely flat, the fact that the instructions say it should never be used with more than medium heat and only on the small burner, and a glass stovetop means that it takes FOREVER TO HEAT. The kettle is bigger than the small burner, but it has this raised part around the edges that doesn't actually sit against the burner, and it's weirdly hard to tell whether the flat center part is centered on the burner. -Also the whistle is feeble at best and takes a long time to actually get going. When I tried to be patient and wait for it to whistle, I could hear the water bubbling, and by the time it finally whistled there was noticeably less water when I went to pour it than what I had put in. -It's almost disturbingly lightweight. It feels cheap. (Which, it IS cheap. So that makes sense.) I am getting rid of this tea kettle. Save yourself the $12.

Delivery PROBLEMS!!
I haven’t unpacked my purchase yet because I just spent 30 minutes driving around my neighborhood trying to find the doorstep that the delivery person sent the picture of!! This happens every time I order from Target!! And my packages are at a different doorstep every time. I am not the only person in my neighborhood that has this issue. We all concur that there will no longer be Target on line shopping.
