Kurgo Half Hammock Dog Crate Cover - Heather Gray

Great design and functionality. Love the water proof material. I've literally put a fully-covered-in-mud dog (long story) in there, then by the end of the long drive, all I had to do was brush out the mud that had dried into dirt. The soft fabric side just doesn't absorb much so it's easy to clean. Fast and easy to install/uninstall. The hook that holds the door-side flap down is a little tricky to get secure depending on the model car. I do really like being able to isolate the dog to a specific part of the backseat (vs just having a seat cover). This keeps any dirt and hair contained, whereas a seat cover would protect the seats themselves, but allow dirt and hair to fall down to the floor. Unfortunately, I have had a couple of the buckles break. Full metal or heavy duty buckles would be a much appreciated upgrade. I keep the straps pretty tight so that the fabric stays tight and firm. But then when my dog leaned up against the side on a sharp turn, it broke a buckle. So now I have to tie that strap off instead of just clipping it to the headrest bar. Granted, my dog is large and heavy so for smaller dogs, the plastic buckles should be super good enough for any weight and force.

This hammock works extremely well for our Australian cattle dog Blue heeler mixed with a Llewellyn setter. she enjoys going for rides knowing that knee ride will lead to some sort of outdoor physical activity. she's usually pretty laid back hanging out. just relaxing the entire way within this little hammock. the hammock keeps most of the dirt dust and hair off of the car seats and does a great job with moisture.

I absolutely love the idea. the material is great and it is very waterproof. my only issue is the straps used to make it a half hammock aren't incredibly difficult to get perfect if you ever really can get them adjusted perfectly. also, you lose the use of the second rear seat because the straps are coming across in an angle. I originally bought this so that I can have my dog in the ham off and still use the back seat.

First, the sling can go on both sides of the car which is great. Overall, I'd say it's okay and gets the job done. I guess I'd recommend it, but not a ringing endorsement. It's pretty complicated to set up and doesn't hold its shape well. It could really use more support / a better setup for the middle divider. The most annoying part is how loud it is when my dog moves around. It's unbelievable. Turn up the music in the car loud.

TLDR: Perfect for sedans or smaller cars, highly recommend for quality and ease of care and use. Purchased this out of desperation at one of those massive pet stores and very glad I did! My pup is a 19lb beagle-chi mix who is always strapped in the car and either sits or lays down. The majority of car seat covers are all black, ugly and massive. This half hammock is perfect for my needs as it’s lightweight, easy to install and remove and can be quickly packed away without taking up too much space. Any dirt can be shaken or wiped off. The only downside for me is that it only comes in one size that is clearly designed for sedans or smaller cars. It perfectly fits the Tesla Model 3 but cannot be fully anchored in the Model Y (or presumably other cars of similar size or bigger). I really hope Kurgo releases a larger size that is tested on a variety of vehicles so that they can provide a sample list for reference.

I love this dog hammock when I need a seat in the back for other passengers or cargo. I do have a full dog hammock that I use that is more mud-resistant or if I have another dog in the car with me, but I do love this one for when it is just my pup. This dog hammock is also very dog fur/mud resistant.

Easy to install and keeps my leather seats from getting damaged. Only thing is that the passenger who would be sitting next to it might not like all the straps next to them that attach to passenger headrests

This is a product, with great functionality and practicality, that is certainly a go-to option, for dog-and-human transport!

This item is durable and easy to wash. Keeps my pup where he's supposed to be.

Overall I do really like this car hammock for my dog. It contains all the hair and dirt while also being waterproof. It's very sturdy and well made. My only complaint is that it's a little complicated and kind of a pain to install and remove.

Very difficult to install and directions are poor. The quality is not very good. Still trying to properly install. Not worth the money. If I can’t get it installed, I will probably return it. I wish the instructions were clearer. I am very disappointed because I thought it would solve my problem but it did not.

I like this one because it still allows me to have someone else in the backseat, though it doesn't quite fit as snug as I'd like it to. But it still doe it's job - which is what matters most. Only other thing, I wasn't sure how to keep it clean, so I just tossed it in the washer on gentle-cycle and let it hang to air-dry and it was just fine. My dog was still a puppy when we used it and I didn't realize she was getting car-sick the first few times!

Great for using alongside a car seat to keep your seats protected and your dog and kid separated. Would've given 5 stars, but the material could be more grippy. It slides more than I had hoped for.

We've had tha hammock for three weeks now and i love it. I wish we had found this for the last dog we had. Ik controls the dog and where he is in the xar and still allows a passenger in the back.

I purchased this in hopes that it would fit my Toyota Sequoia (captains chairs on 2nd row). I guess my vehicle is too large because after 1 year of trying and making numerous adjustments I can't get it to fit properly, and while it does somewhat protect the seat from my dog it's incredibly frustrating to constantly have to adjust the cover after she gets in...maybe works better on a mid-size SUV but def. don't recommend for large sun's...

I bought this this week, and took my dog, Fletcher, to a dog park about 20 minutes' drive from our house. When we weren't even halfway there, he had jumped over the side of the hammock and sat in my daughter's (thankfully empty) high-backed booster seat! This would be great if it actually did what it was supposed to. Fletcher freaks out and gets tangled in the seatbelt if we use a car harness to restrain him in the car, and a travel crate big enough to hold him will not fit either of our cars. This was a last resort, and did not even do what it was supposed to--keep dog from moving to other parts of the car in transit, for safety.

My dog and I love this car hammock. We have had others in the past that have ripped, didn't fit the car well or didn't keep the dirt in. This one fits my Jeep Wrangler and my 60-lb dog perfectly! I love that my dog is more confined and that I can still fit a passenger in the backseat without removing the hammock. It is very durable, waterproof and keeps the dirt from getting all over my car. Plus it integrates well with the Kurgo seatbelt tether and buckle barrier. My only complaint about it is that it is a little tricky to install but super easy to use once installed. So taking it in and out often would be a pain. Overall, a great product and definitely worth the money.

Love it! My dog used to take over my entire hatchback trunk, and I was looking for something that would allow me to have him in the backseat but still have multiple passengers with me. This was the ideal find! It fits well, I have my trunk space back, my large dog has lots of room, and he loves being close enough to still get pets at stop lights!

Well made. Sturdy material. Easy to install. The only thing missing that would give it a 5 star is the side toward the door; the small flap goes down and if it had a bigger flap that goes up to protect the door, it would be perfect (it could connect with snaps perhaps). Our first use of the Hammock resulted in our door rest material getting chewed!
