Q: does this get rid of blood stains? do i have to put it in the wash?

A: Thanks for your question! Yes! Fresh blood stains are fairly easy to remove. Spray with Branch Basics Stain Remover and let sit a few minutes, then rinse with cold water. If possible, put the stain under the tap and let the cold water run through it. If on carpet or furniture, use a clean white cloth to blot the stain, spray with the the stain remover and lightly agitate. Blot with cold water only, as hot water will cause it to set. Keep working until stain is gone. For dried blood, spray with stain remover and let sit for 5 – 10 minutes. Soak in cold water, agitate, and repeat if necessary.

I was looking for something to put on my baby’s clothes that was not filled with fragrance and chemicals! This is definitely more for fresh new stains rather than older stains. I sprayed it on a new stain and left it on for 1 hour before washing it and it came off!

It all started when I put my leftovers in the container, upside down. My husband handed me the container in the car, which tilted, leaking homemade strawberry jam on my light pink Nike crew neck. We wouldn’t be home for another hour. I for sure thought it would stain. I sprayed the spot liberally (never rinsed it, just wiped off the jam). I went to toss it in the washer a few hours later and COULD NOT FIND THE STAIN. It was nowhere to be found. Flash forward - my pups has a skin tag on her paw and it bled on the quilt at night while we were sleeping. As k was rushing off to work, I sprayed that area. Came home and it was mostly gone, but had gone from a heavy line to a faint circle. Sprayed again on lunch and came home to a disappearing stain! So much easier than using a stain stick and it’s such a great price and easily accessible. This is a must! I also don’t do well with synthetic fragrances. Since this is fragrance free and has a clean soapy light smell, I rated that 5 stars too.

I'm giving this 5 stars as I realize that it's a safer choice and cleans as well as it can for being such a safe choice. I've listened to a podcast with the owners of this line and I am impressed by their commitment to health and fewe toxins. I think some clothing stain removers probably work better, but it's certainly NOT worth the toxins to have a bit stronger. This is probably the reason why 2 people didn't think it worked. It does work. It's not super stong, but again, it's natural, and I'm happy choosing a healthier option. I love the Target-sized bottles and will continue to purchase these 16 ounce bottles. The price is very fair. I hope she expands the line at Target!! I'd love to see the dishwashing tablets and laundry detergent at Target. Bring in more Branch Basics products!

Had some old tennis shoes with white bottom that was pretty stained, it came right off. Used on a white pillowcase to remove old stain, it also came off. The key might be let it sit for some minutes, then spray again.

Rub the stained fabric against itself to really work in the product. Let this sit and then run through the wash. Soak the stained item: Pretreat as described above, and then put the stained item in a tub or bucket with water to cover with a TBSP of your preferred laundry detergent. Let this sit over night and wash in the morning. Repeat if necessary. The key is that if the stain is not removed, do not put the item in the dryer, because the heat can set a stain and make it more difficult to remove. I’ve been using this since my son was a baby (he’s 6) when you could only order online. It’s the only safe product I’ve tried that cleans, removes ALL the hard stains. Chocolate, berries, tomato sauce and poop. If you miss a scent, just add a couple drops of essential oils. It’s so good
