Featuring an all-metal chassis for strength, the knob automatically locks from the outside when it is shut but remains unlocked from the inside. It is fits for door thickness of 1-3/8" to 1-3/4".

Switching to Schlage from Kwikset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Schlage is just a better quality lock than Kwikset. Property Manager that deals with all the Rekeys of Schlage & Kwikset. (Rekeyed over 1,000 locks lifetime.) Constant problems with Vestibule/Storeroom Locks from Kwikset. Sometimes it's the latch other times the lock itself. I will no longer buy building entry locks from Kwikset, only Schlage will receive our business for that style of lock.

Best in market for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third. Easy to get re-key. It serves our Hoa security walk-in gate so high use. We live by the beach and this stainless steel lock is very durable. Unfortunately kids step on the lock to enter our complex to use our community pool so that over time breaks the lock since it isn’t designed for constant stepping on
