Pioneer Pastures High Protein Chocolate Milk Shake - 11 fl oz

Expired, got it on 02/9/2026 and best before 11/20/2025

Bought on 1/29/26 and noticed it expired 11/08/25

I love their regular chocolate milk, but this was a big miss. The texture is like spoiled milk. It tastes like chocolate milk with globs of thick goo. I can’t figure out what ingredient is giving this disgusting texture.

was sold to me expired, I didn't think to check the date when I purchased. drank it the day after I bought it, felt it lumpy so checked the date sure enough expired!

Best option when I am in a rush! Clean and low calories, with A2 milk.

Oh my gosh, this was amazing! I’m not sure what the other reviewers thought, but I absolutely loved the chocolate shake. It wasn’t goopy or slimy at all, it was just like the texture of regular milk. And let me tell you, A2 milk is a game-changer for those of us who have trouble digesting the more common A1 milk.

I would avoid this product for now, the quality is very poor and has a sour taste. I had to throw away after two sips!

This taste like it was spoiled by weeks. The taste was horrendous and I bought 3, threw them all away. Never again.

Horrible sludge at the bottom. I take protein shakes for a nighttime snack for diabetes and these actually caused a spike in the morning. Vs Orgain which keeps me in a good range for the morning fasting rate.

I have gotten this in the past like 5 times and I loved it, this is one of the only protein shakes that has all clean ingredients ready to drink like this…but after buying it this time I noticed the clumps that others were talking about in reviews. It’s disgusting. It’s slimy and the texture made me want to throw up. I took a sip and poured the rest down the drain. I don’t know if they changed something or what but it’s a shame. I don’t think I’ll ever buy this again

It’s horrible, and it has a weird smell

Most protein drinks make me want to chug them leaving me unsatisfied — but with Pioneer Pastures, I actually enjoy sipping and savoring it. Smooth, satisfying, and way better tasting than the usual options.

Chalky taste. But does have 30 grams of protein, lactose free which are pros.

I just picked these shakes up for the first time today. This immediately became my new favorite protein shake! I had to run to write this review, LOL! I found these because this brand came up on a list I found online of protein shakes with the cleanest ingredients. After seeing that it had 30g of protein (really?!), was lactose free (your girl is becoming more lactose intolerant by the day), has zero artificial sweeteners or seed oils, and only 2g of sugar, I was definitely compelled to try these. I am very impressed by the chocolate flavor. When you shake it up, it froths up so nicely, giving it this really satisfying texture. It’s thick, creamy, and delicious. No weird aftertastes or unpleasant sensations in the mouth (hahaha!). I’m super full now and very happy with this! I don’t think I’ll be trying any other brands anytime soon!

I wish they would just use a little real sugar. The sweetener in this has a very medicinal flavor. I don’t know how else to describe it.

I use a milk heater/frother with shakes for my coffee- and the taste is quite good, but the next day there a glumps in the bottom( glump- mix of goop and lumps). Can't shake enough to reblend! Too many other food shakes that don't have this problem.

I love the product! Its good, it's not thick, easy to drink, and actually tastes good and like it says. Most protein drinks a drink have zero flavor, but this one is a step up. Will buy more.

These taste good to me, have high protein, and the ingredients aren’t dangerous. But the one big issue is the slimy consistency of the texture. There’s clumps of slime within the drink, so much to the point that I poured some into a bowl to see what I was drinking. Even shaking well couldn’t fix this. I’m assuming it’s the acacia gum or the gellan gum causing this problem. But it needs to be corrected.

I LOVE these. I've gone through 6 different products that are at the 30g protein size and I'm set on these now.
