But I used it on steak and a few other things and I actually really like it. It sticks well to steak and I like the taste/ texture of it since it's coarse. And it's a pretty big jar so it will last a long time.

It proudly states that the salt is harvested in Texas, but I've never heard of Texas being known for making great salt. I think "Bringing the flavor of Texas," is a silly gimmick, since this is just plain salt. Texas is known for Texmex and BBQ, not just plain salted foods. I will say the packaging is great. The glass bottle is hefty and feels luxurious, like something I'd pick up at a high-end food retailer. I also appreciate that it doesn't contain iodine, since I have a thyroid issue. That was a nice bonus. Overall, it stuck to the meat well enough, but it's just coarse salt. I could use the Kosher salt I already have to get the same effect. It might make a good gift for someone who is homesick for Texas. Other than that, I can't think of any reason to purchase this over other salts.

Not only is this great for steaks/meats, I have been using this as finishing salt on cookies. Other than the shape of salt grains, it tastes the same as any other salt. If you love salty food or want to try a new finishing salt, this might be a good place to start.

I love how it comes in a sealed glass container to keep moisture out which makes it last longer and not clump together. When I run out I will be buying more.

I enjoy grilling and preseasoning my meat with a rub before grilling. I used this salt on not only steaks but ribs, too! It does well under high heat with the flavor still present after cooking. I like how the salt is thicker, crystal like. The glass container gives it a better appearance. The wide mouth opening is better for using than having to shake the container. The overall flavor and presentation was better than most and I would recommend this product as I will be a future consumer.
