This has to be the biggest scam of the TikTok era. This product when first applied smells almost comically foul - like the worst sour foot/crotch odor you can imagine. This fades, but does not go away entirely. The bigger issue, however, is that it does not work. Each time I used it I came home from work in a fairly sedentary job with noticeable armpit odor - more than I have if I use no deodorant at all. So, in my experience, this is actually worse than nothing at all. Save your money and skip this product.

I was unable to use this product. I purchased the unscented. When I got it home and opened it, the smell was so bad it made me almost throw up. This is intended to prevent smells in private areas. The smell out of the tube smells exactly what you’re trying to prevent. I’ve never used any products from this brand. After this experience, I don’t think I will be trying any of their other products. I don’t see how someone made this, smelled it and thought it was a good idea to sell it. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to purchasing.

I was so excited to try this product as it was recommended by a friend. However, upon first application I noticed that it definitely had a scent. Double checked the packaging to make sure I had bought the “unscented” option. Sure enough, I had. So if you are sensitive to scents like I am, give this one a pass.

This works! I'm a home health nurse and in the car traveling most of the day or in a patient's home. Often there is no circulation and is hot leading to my sweating. This helps keep me stink free for the day!

I don’t know who at Lume sniffed this and said “Yes, perfection,” but I need to speak with them immediately. I bought the unscented whole body deodorant thinking it would, you know… not smell like anything. Instead, I was greeted with a scent that can only be described as “medical-grade booty.” Straight out of the tube, it smells like a haunted hospital drain. Like a butt. And yes, I still put it on, because I paid actual American dollars for it. Once you rub it in, it’s slightly less offensive, but the ghost of that cursed aroma lingers. It follows you. Haunts you. I was walking around my house trying to figure out where the smell was coming from- spoiler alert: it was me. I bought this to avoid smelling like sweat, but after using it, I would GLADLY go back to smelling like I just did hot yoga in a metal box. This is worse. This is so much worse. Would I recommend it? Only to my enemies. Or maybe as a form of birth control. Lume, please- PLEASE- reformulate this crime against nostrils.

This formula is different from the original one before it was sold at Target. Back when I first got it in 2018 from the Lume website it worked great!! Smelled awful, but dried with no smell and worked to keep me not stinking. But this new formula is crummy. Too bad they changed it. :(

It works like described . Just get past the smell at the beginning. The smell goes away.

The smell of this was so unbelievably horrible. I ended up throwing it away. The stick form has a better smell for some reason.

The smell coming out of the tube illicites my gag response. I can describe the smell but it’s not good. I put it on anyways to try it and it’s true the smell weakens after a few minutes but it still has a slight smell. Reminds me of a certain type of minty gum, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying it smells minty. Just a weird smell. I’ll give it a few more times trying it.

I had the solid on my first go with Lume & loved it. This cream felt like a mistake. Terrible smell, application, & lasting.

I'd previously used the sticks and thought it worked great but the cream version is awful! Smells way worse than body odor. I'm not sure if the product has gone bad or if the formula is just different. Will definitely not be purchasing again. Unfortunately I had stocked up because I live overseas and I'm now past the return period and stuck with this overpriced tube of trash

This cream works, but the smell is too offensive to use. It took a while for me to figure out that the "unscented" was not actually unscented. I couldnt' tell where the offensive smell was coming from, then I realized it was me. It smells so bad that I was actually concerned; I almost scheduled a Dr.'s appointment. That's how egregious the smell is. I will not repurchase. If Lume can resolve the issue w/ the scent their products produce, they have a good product on their hands, but who is going to put on something that gives them an odor they're trying to prevent. It works, but I can't in good conscious recommend; it's gross.
