  • A: An ingredient listed in Burt's Bees is "lanolin", which is fat obtained from sheep - the reason Burt's Bees cannot be labeled as vegan. That, and other cheap ingredients compared to the original.

    Has longevity, just doesn't taste like pomegranate

    I’ve always enjoyed Burt’s Bees products. I thought that this would taste like pomegranate, but it tastes like cough medicine. It should warn you with a “medicated” label or something like that on the package. It tingles, which is good for people with chapped lips. It has a rose tint, but I don’t notice it on my two-toned lips. It feels great on my lips. It first applies greasy, but it eventually absorbs in. I would say that this is a different formula consistency than the other Burt’s Bees that I’m used to. This is more of a greasy, medicinal formula. The clicker on my bottom is durable and works with ease. It’s a good lip product, but it just doesn’t smell or taste like pomegranate.

    We tried this because we like other Burt’s Bees lip balms and we like pomegranates. This one is STINKY, TASTES BAD, and for some reason is TINTED. Neither my husband nor I are willing to use this. Return window was small, too, so I missed it – had to trash. For reference, we’ve been happy with the ultra conditioning (pleasantly neutral) and the sweet mandarin, disliked the pomegranate and the pear, split opinion on the peach.

    HATE THE NEW FORMULA

    I want to cry!! Why did the change the formula? I had to immediately wipe it off. It tasted absolutely disgusting and the smell is completely different. I can never buy this again after a decade of loyalty.

    Horrible scent

    My first time using this product and I have to throw it away. The scent is terrible. It smells like a nasty medicine to me. The formula seems fine, the color is not noticeable on my lips, I just cannot get over the off putting scent.

    Changed Formula For the Worse

    I have used Burt’s Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm for years and years. Sadly they changed the formula, and I don’t like how the new formula smells or feels. Old/good formula on top with green mark. New/bad formula on bottom with red mark.

    My favourite lip balm!

    Great chapstick

    TASTES LIKE SOAP

    100% tastes like soap and leaves a horrible film on your lips that doesn't just wear off. Had to wash my lips to be rid of it.
