I was really excited about this trimmer, I liked its different blade options. But when I went to use this trimmer in the shower it did not seem very easy to maneuver on my skin, the materials seemed to make it less smooth running over my skin, much akin to skipping a stone across the lake.I like a trim rather than a close shave and opted to try the 3mm guard. That was a mistake. It tugged and could hardly get off any hair at a consistent length. I ultimately decided to forgo the guard and just use the trimmer itself. This worked decidedly much better but I did knick myself and start bleeding in a sensitive area despite pulling the skin taut. The whole process took probably 20mins.Getting out of the shower I decided to try the other smoothing trimmer, having trimmed my hair down to 0mm with the bare trimmer option. Wow that's a lot of times writing "trim". Anywho, this part of the set worked rather well. And I almost kept this product for that part alone. But ultimately, I want a product which is easier to use in the shower and trim to my desired length. For this I rate the product a 3.
