Trash side is a little small we have 13 gallon trash bags that doesn’t sit well in the trash side but is ok to use . Has smooth flow on the pedals to open but sometimes the lid stays open and we have to push it down . Really like the recycling section on the side makes it easy and convenient to separate the trash from recycling. Overall we are satisfied with its functionality and look .

If I’m putting recycling in, I don’t have to see or smell the trash-I can just open one side and be done. It also helps to not accidentally throw things in the wrong bin. It looks a lot better too. Instead of multiple cans, it’s just one piece and feels more simple and organized. It blends in and doesn’t make this space feel cluttered. The soft close lids are a big plus for me. They close quietly instead of slamming, which makes a difference if you’re sensitive to noise or just don’t want to hear it every time someone uses it. I really like it because it looks very neat with 2 garbage compartment even though I put it right in my small kitchen but it doesn’t it to take up much space. This product is very sturdy, even if subjected to strong impacts, it will not dent.

The bins were ready to use out of the box and required no real installation other than adding the trash bag. The only downside is that the step feature is sensitive and the lid will slam against my countertop.

Before using this we had two separate cans. Its definitely more convenient having one. Each side opens separately. The recycling side has a removable compartment that you can easily take with you to drop your recycling in your city trash can. I definitely think this is more functional than what we were using. The only downside is that it holds less , therefore more trips outside. overall I definitely recommend!
