Not that great.
Bought this four years ago for my grandson when he is in my car. As an infant, I always thought the straps were too short. When he switched to front facing, still the straps are short. It make it very uncomfortable and difficult to buckle him in. Not only that, the buckle gets lost as he sits in the seat. Always holding the buckle as he gets in or fishing for it. I do not recommend this seat at all. Am looking for a new replacement, possibly another brand.

Safe (I hope), but impractical
I can't describe how annoying this car seat is. Every. single. time. my child is in the car seat, the liner separates from the plastic backing at the headrest. I understand that this is a removable lining to wash it, but it shouldn't come undone every time my child sits in the seat. It's a faulty design where the straps go through the back padding and it pulls it off of the headrest every single time. As a parent of three, I can tell you that this will annoy you. The last thing you want to do when you're in a hurry or are fighting a kicking and screaming toddler is to delicately try to tuck in padding over and over and over and over.

Great carseats and a quick and easy install
We own two of them for our Grandson and they are easy to install. Very well made as well! We fought with other car seats to get them tight to keep him safe, very easy with this car seat. We are definitely happy with our purchases.

Good for all but Booster
Not a good booster. It was great for everything until we got to a booster. Not it is too long of a length for kids to buckle or unbuckle regularly. Feel like we were deceived but is a good carset for the other applications.

Amazing seat!
This is the best seat hands down. It is so easy to install and it has a carry handle! It is heavy, but I still love it! I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone who is looking for a good seat!

Rattle
Seems to be comfortable for my child rear facing. She doesn’t complain about being in the seat. My only beef is it rattles when there isn’t a child in the seat. Very annoying.

Comfortable for my child
My child seems to like this seat. I love the ease of instal. My only complaint is the rattle it has without a child in it going down the road. So annoying. I’ve tried adjusting and reinstalling but no stop to the rattle. So far have only used rear facing.

Design Flaw With Anchor Straps
This is not an exaggeration. The lower anchor strap is extremely difficult to tighten down and all too often it becomes uneven. I literally have to sit on the seat to add weight while trying pull the strap up with all my strength and only one side can be tighten down. If I don't do that, then the car seat wiggles out of position just a few short car rides. It becomes more difficult when I have to transfer the car seat to another car, such as for the babysitter, and the strap is nearly impossible to loosen without using a key or a screwdriver. I get the same result when installing it on leater and cloth seats. Never had this issue with Britax car seats before. Great for one time install if you don't mind muscling the strap down, otherwise STAY AWAY from this model!! It's not worth the hassle for the price tag.

Ridiculously Hard to Tighten
I really wanted to love this seat but it is SO HARD to tighten the harness straps. Nothing is twisted and I can never get the straps as tight as then need to be. I would not recommend this seat based on this issue and will likely have to buy another seat to replace this one.

The fabric never stays in place
I have been having this car seat for about two years now and the fabric never stays on the seat. I’ve reached out to the support team and they told me it’s because my kid moves in and out of the seat and pulling happens. But for the price of the seat this shouldn’t happen my child isn’t jumping in his seat and we have another brand seat that doesn’t do this at all with him getting in and out of it.

i really wanted to love this seat and it did but my son outgrew this in 6months and he is not even 3. We bought this car seat for our grandparents car and the straps are so short... i mean so short what was Britax thinking calling this one4life. my son constantly complains about groin buckle hurting him and we can hardly get straps over his shoulders.

Unhappy
I have one of these in got for my youngest and I hate it. I hate it. And it is easier then the big kids like three to 12 to defrock and wash. But I hate it is to hard to maneuver and clean and I have been trying to find away to like it for three years. If reccaro still made car seats for kids in the US I would have gone with them.

Safest car seat EVER!
I was in a car accident yesterday and the police and paramedics told me that my child’s car seat saved her life. I knew I was buying a good car seat when I purchased BUT this good, I had no idea. The extra cushion and padding helped limit the impact of the accident while the steel frame kept her safe and in place. I would recommended this to everyone!

Car seat buckle starting to fray after 2 yrs using
I bought this car seat in February 2023 thinking that it would last a 10 years or somewhat close, But the buckle is already starting to fray - not the chest clip area but the bottom clip is fraying. I’m not sure if it can be replaced, What if that is starting to wear after only two years I am worried about the integrity of the rest of the car seat. - I would still recommend this car seat because it is a great car seat. I am just worried about the integrity of it After only two years when it is said to last for 10 years, I would like to re-purchase the same car seat, but I honestly don’t know.

Stole my car for the seat
I was gifted this seat for my 14 month old son. He loved this eat because he was ready for a bigger seat and lived he could face forward. We had the seat for about two months when my car was stolen. Though we got the car back they kept the car seat. We are sad it is gone and hope to be able to get another.

"Overwhelmingly" Difficult To ADJUST
After reading guide and watching several videos and even acquiring assistance from the local Fire Department. The overwhelming consensus was that this car seat is too difficult to adjust, to be able to appreciate how accommodating or how safe it is supposed to be. Tried to re-gift it and was asked to return it for a different car seat Unable to return it we are struck with this high priced basically semi-useless monstrosity. We would never recommend Britax to anyone

Great quality and spacious
I have always used Britax carseats for all 4 of my children, and purchased the one4life for our twins a few months back. Last week we transitioned them from their infant carseats (also Britax) to their one4life and they absolutely love them! There is so much room in them, which was the reason for switching as one of our twins is a chunker! This seat not only is spacious for them, it's easy for mom and dad to install and the durability of it is amazing! I've seen some complain that it is too heavy but for us that's just another sign of safety. It is easy to adjust both the incline and the head rest! Definitely giving it a 10 out of 10, as I have for the other 5 carseats from Britax we have used through the years with our other children!

Straps are too tight and fabric is horrible
I adjusted the straps to adjust to my 2.5 year old and it’s too tight and uneven. I have been using it since he was born because I didn’t want to constantly change it as he grew. I’m really not happy with the product. I was happy that you can take the fabric off and wash it because he vomitted a few times but it didn’t sit right again and kept coming off.

Overall Great, but I would buy again.
We bought this seat for our son back in 2020 and another for my daughter in 2022. I love the ease of the seat, I love how spacious the inside of the seat is (great for chunky babies!), and how safe I feel to have my kids in there with the steel frame (this thing is so heavy!) BUT...... I am not sure I would buy this again. For the price of this seat, there is no reason that the covers do not stay on the seat. The loops on the cover stretch and when kids get in and sit back, it pulls the cover off the side impact pieces. Britax has seen a brand new cover for my son's seat and it still does it. It's been taken apart and put back on each seat over 10 times and it will not stay on regardless.

Love this seat, would not purchase again.
I love the idea of this seat, but it does not stay in place. Take the marathon, increase the weight limits and add cup holders and I would love it. This seats harness never tightens evenly. We constantly have to reinstall it bc of the harness and because of it literally moving out of place and slipping backwards. We have two and they are just such a headache.
