Very Disappointing

I made this cake exactly as per the instructions (did all egg whites). The cake was NOT light and fluffy. The texture was off and the flavor was awful. Also used the Pillsbury white frosting which didn't taste too great. Very disappointing!!

I hesitated trying after reading some of the reviews. Now, I prefer Pillsbury white cake mix to Duncan Hines and Betty Crocker. Pillsbury batter is thicker and stickier than others, but bakes into a firmer, more substantial cake. (I used 3 large eggs.) Pillsbury cake is not quite as light and fluffy as the others and it tastes slightly more like vanilla, both of which I prefer. I'll buy again!

Its okay.

Turned into what looked like sourdough starter.. very tough to work with & sticky.. My mom bought the cake mix, it was my first time & will be the last time using pillsbury cake mix. They turned out okay because i needed to cut off the top anyways.

Moist, but not great for complicated cakes

Very moist, large crumb structure. Rises well and is good for cupcakes or single cake layers. Does not work well for recipes where you need to manipulate the shape after it’s baked, way too soft for that. A little sweet for my taste.

Great White Cake Mix!

This cake mix made a great white cake with a perfect texture. Used the directions to make two 8" rounds. While the end result is never as hyperwhite as the advertised image, if you want a white cake, remember to use the recipe option with the egg whites. If you use the yolk option, the cake will come out yellowish per the other reviewer's issue. No yolks = white cake.

Good Deal!

The cake mix is actually 15.25 oz as I believe Pillsbury stopped manufacturing the 18.25 oz boxes in the Classic White. Other than that, these were great and a great deal. I will order these from Target from now on.
