Turmeric Makes It Taste Bad

The yellow and green dyes had a bad odor to them. They are the two that use turmeric as an ingredient. Dabbed a bit on my fingertip, and I almost gagged. If you do not want the taste of your icing altered (in a bad way), I HIGHLY recommend not purchasing these. Additionally, the red requires a great deal of drops to even achieve a pink/purple hue. I appreciate the idea of natural ingredients, but when it can’t provide a good taste or an accurate color then there is really no point.

Not good for Easter Eggs.

Too pale and I can't wait an hour plus to get a deeper color. The color is way too faded and I used all the dye and the picture is the result. I don't recommend this natural dye at all for easter eggs.

Satisfactory but would love to see deeper color

Love that there's no chemicals but colors are definitely a little weak for dyeing cookie dough. We were making earth cookies. I am satisfied with the blue (this required over half the bottle) but the green (a little less than half the bottle) almost baked out. I would definitely use it again and just use more color. Reviews were mostly for icing, so I wanted to add some insight for those looking to dye dough or cake.

Wonderful product. 100% natural. No dyes. This can mean you need to use a little more to achieve your disred color but that is totally normal.

Dye free

I appreciate the dye free and ease of use, but I coils never get the red to be true red, it always had a pink/magenta tone.

Purple Velvet Cake

I made my mother in laws recipe for red velvet cake for Christmas. I used this red food coloring thinking it would be better than the cheap stuff. The batter was purple. I’ve never had that happen before. I used most of the bottle to see if it would turn red. It didn’t, just more purple. The cake didn’t taste right either. My husband went to Publix and bought a store cake. Super disappointed.

Red dye males things purple

I was excited to try these natural dyes, and the yellow, green, and blue turned out beautiful pastel colors. The red turned bright purple. The more dye I added, the more magenta it turned, but it never turned into red. Very sad about that part but if you do not need red, these are a great option.

Red is defintirly purple

Red is definitely purple 😂 if you plan to make Christmas cookies may try something else. I have Barney cookies now to share. It even baked them more of a blue purple. I do fine the humor in it at least. I do appreciate the no artificial dyes though! Reason I bought these.

Fiddly food coloring w/ muted off colors

Colors off, difficult to incorporate into cookie dough have to really work it in over handling the dough, gets all over your hands and washes out at temp higher than 350.

Safe Option to Dyes

As someone who refuses to buy dyes for my baking needs, these are the perfect alternatives. My children love to have colored icing and it's always fun. With the concern of color dyes, we've been unable to have colored icing. These are perfect and don't contain the harmful chemical dyes.

Great food coloring without artificial dyes!

I absolutely love that they are making food coloring without artificial dyes! My kids do enjoy when I color foods for holidays but I’m not willing to use artificial dyes to do that so these are perfect. I love the color options too. Great product!
