Hard bottle, but works well
I have been needing to add a good clarifying shampoo to my hair routine, and I have heard great things about Maui, so I decided to give this a try. I am typically more of a sweet/vanilla scent enjoyer, and this has a very strong minty scent, so it isn’t my usual, but it isn’t bad by any means. I do wish Maui had more scent options for their clarifying line though! This shampoo works really well regardless - it lathers very nicely, made my scalp feel fresh, and it helped get rid of product build-up that had started making my scalp itch like crazy. The bottle is very durable… maybe a little too durable though - it is super hard to squeeze out and is my only true complaint with this product. For the price though, the single con still makes this product unbeatable given how well it works.

Best Gentle Clarifying and Clean Shampoo I've Found!
This is my favorite shampoo. I love how clean it is (no parabens, sulfate surfactants are top on my list, but it is free from a lot of other things, like dyes, which I appreciate)! We have hard water and I find this shampoo excellent for a gentle, daily (if needed) clarifying shampoo. It doesn’t strip my hair or leave it feeling too dry. All that being said, I have been using sulfate and paraben free products for years. If your hair/scalp is used to all of the added chemicals and ingredients, it can take months for it to adjust (and isn’t always the prettiest in the meantime). And, again, my water is extremely hard so a clarifying shampoo is needed for me, but I also do not wash my hair more than twice a week, especially in winter. If you wash your hair more frequently or have soft water, I can’t say if any clarifying shampoo would be good for scalp and hair health. This is my current favorite and Target has gotten rid of all of my favorites in the past (Puracy, I miss you), so hopefully this stays around for a good long while!!!

Worst Bottle Ever
The bottle is the worst I’ve ever come across. The plastic is really stiff and it’s very hard to squeeze the product out. The lid is not removable either, so you can’t get the last bit of shampoo out and/or rinse out to recycle. I will never buy this brand again.

It cleanses because it’s soap. Would not recommend using. After the first wash there was an ammonia smell. Never had that smell before with washing my hair. The conditioner smells ok that matches this one but it’s like I can smell chemicals when I use the shampoo. Would not recommend for thoroughly washing hair.

Product works well for a deep clarifying. Love the clean mint smell. The packaging is terrible. The shampoo is fine but because of the square bottle and the thickness of the conditioner, it is very hard to squeeze out.

I’d say it is effective at taming my thin, frizzy hair especially in the humidity. It is worth the money to purchase. Would recommend the conditioner and serum to use with the shampoo for best results.
