The Covergirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence Foundation is a vegan skincare makeup hybrid formulated with 0.5% bakuchiol, a plant-based retinol alternative perfect for sensitive skin, the skin-plumping formula reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increases skin’s firmness. It also contains tranexamic acid, the potent tone-improving facial essence fades the appearance of existing dark spots. Pigmented capsules blend easily to distribute a sheer, even tint for a radiant bare-skin filter effect with a refreshed skin-like finish. With a clean and vegan formula made up of 98% natural origin ingredients, it has a lightweight, gel texture that provides hydrated skin for up to 24 hours. HOW TO USE: Blend between fingers or with a brush to activate tinted microdroplets and then apply to face. Wear alone or with your favorite Covergirl foundation as a skin-perfecting Covergirl primer.

I received this product in exchange for my review. I was excited about this as a summertime replacement for foundation. My perfect shade match is 20 light. It’s water-based and definitely lightweight and hydrating. But I just can’t get it to work well for me. I’ve tried applying using the brush they sent me, but it leaves my skin streaky and does not sit well on my nose and forehead. I’ve also tried applying using my fingers and that was a little better, but not by much. I find it hard to work with for not a lot of coverage and I think this product just isn’t for me.

It evens out my skin tone and love that it is perfect for sensitive skin like my own, and I love that it is very lightweight.

This product was gifted for my honest review. I was a bit afraid of using this as I have oily skin, but it turned out so amazing! It evened out my skin tone so well. I have LOTS of redness and discoloration. Only thing is, you do have to find the right skincare products underneath or else the foundation will pill. I found that when I wear my vitmain C, the foundation flakes up. If that happens for you, play around with your skincare

Overall, I've had a great experience with this product. I think if you follow the directions, you can really get a filter effect. However, this totally worth it, I had medium coverage and it’s a very lightweight formula, that I will definitely continue to use and recommend 100%. I got this because I wanted mom to try some foundation that adapted to her skin was was easy. This was gifted to us and we found the perfect shade in 20 (Light). Mom doesn't usually wear makeup and this was super light on the skin and easy to apply. Got rid of some of the redness which is awesome and felt wonderful. Definitely a wide range of shades and really well prices!
