As someone who loves a good dark roast coffee but often hates the burnt flavor or acidity that can come with it, this coffee is amazing! It gives the deeper flavor you want with an added hint of cocoa to smooth it out.

Make sure to check expiration dates
I ordered two containers, they both arrived expired. I requested replacements, and both arrived expired also (two different dates/lots). I reached out to customer service and it took over an hour and a half (I kept getting transferred to different agents/departments). The last agent said nothing could be done because according to the system, I had already received a refund/replacement. I let her know that I had not received a refund in any way-just the replacements which were also expired. All this to say-make sure to check the dates, and if it’s an online order get the refund the first time-around.

BOO on the plastic. Unhappy.
The coffee doesn’t taste bad at all, but it’s hard to be unbiased because I’m so frustrated with the packaging and the misleading advertisement that it is so great. The lid won’t stay on at all, so you have to transfer the coffee to keep it airtight. It’s made of hard plastic, which rarely ends up recycled in reality. Most won’t reuse or repurpose it because of the lid AND the foil seal that hold the coffee in is extremely hard to peel off completely so the average person won’t want to look at it. I bought it because of the association with mental health and I overlooked the actual container content as a result. I can’t stand all of the coffee bags I end up with as it is - when will someone make higher end coffee in metal containers?!?!?!

Not Dazzled
I can only speak for myself and my husband, but we did not feel happy when we tried this coffee. We actually felt sad and wanting coffee more than before we tasted this. We made pour over using the same measurements we use with our usual brand of coffee, Cafe du Monde, but instead of rich and robust Happy dazzling dark roast was weak and looked more like tea than coffee. The taste was lacking and disappointing for both of us. We ended up discarding the entire carafe of pour over and remaking with our usual Cafe du Monde.
