I threw this away after a few bites. It is disgustingly sweet and overly spicy. I checked the ingredients and sugar is 5th on the list, with 11 grams of added sugar (almost 3 teaspoons) per CUP. Why?? I don’t mind a little sugar to counteract the savory, but this was so nasty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love chowders so whenever I see an intriguing new flavor I have to try it. This hatch chile chowder came with a lot of corn, potatoes, and other veggies. The taste was a bit on the sweeter side and was a bit different than what I imagined it would taste like, but it was very hearty and addicting. The jar was about two servings and I couldn’t stop eating it. Would purchase again. I received an incentive to write this review.

I was expecting a savory, smoky, spicy chowder, but this leaned way too sweet for my taste. It did have a nice level of spice, which I liked, but overall the sweetness threw it off. Wouldn’t purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There was a whole range of emotions that went along with the experience of my family eating this soup. First, opening the container, this looks like vomit which was an absolute turn off for my child who was responsible for pouring and microwaving. Second, we had no idea what to expect in terms of taste which was a surprise. This soup is sweet and spicy simultaneously, and the type of soup you both drink and chew. Parents loved it, kids thought it was way too spicy. Great value though and great packaging. I received an incentive to write this review.
