A: Hello Ja, great question! The Roomba 205 utilizes the unique Dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes don't get tangled with pet hair. Brushes adjust and flex to stay in constant contact with carpets and hard floors. Instead of bristles that bend and can miss lots of dirt, our unique flexible rubber brushes hug different floor surfaces, staying in close contact with wood, and carpets, to help thoroughly clean your floors. One brush loosens and agitates dirt, and the other moves in the opposite direction to extract and pull it in.

Q: Does it clean rugs on the floor too? I have wooden floors with rugs in different areas, would the Roomba climb the rugs as well?

A: Hello Mirza, The maximum height of a threshold that all Roomba models can transition over, when performing a cleaning cycle, is ⅝ in (1.6 cm), so if the threshold is higher than that the robot will not be able to climb up. Otherwise, our robots are suitable for cleaning rugs.

This is the best do it all Roomba I’ve ever gotten! It was easy for it to map my entire house, so it could thoroughly clean every room, and because my house is not so big, it did every room in under an hour!

It does a great job picking up all kinds of debris and generally navigates rooms well. However, the mapping can be a bit inconsistent, and it tends to bump into things more often than expected, though it’s gentle and not a major issue. For best results, the floor should be clear, as clutter can confuse its navigation. Despite those small quirks, it’s made my cleaning routine much easier and is definitely worth having.

It is pretty quiet, and can run through my entire apartment in less than one charge. I am also pleasantly surprised by how well the new compacting feature works! The installation took me less than 5 minutes, and another 5 minutes for downloading the app and connecting it to the device—it’s pretty easy too. I love the feature where the device learns the “map” of your place, letting you set up a cleaning routine while you’re away or even when you’re sleeping. This is definitely a lazy girl’s favorite.

It will detect stairs and rooms when it first maps out your home, you can select a room or the entire house to clean, and it picks up EVERYTHING! The battery life is very long and holds charge well. It can be a bit noisy on carpet but it’s efficient!

Its a little louder than other robot vacuums I've tried previously but not obnoxiously loud. Mapped my house well. I think the biggest issue is that sometimes knocks over the docking station and then can't connect to charge. I think putting something with a little grip under the charger would easily solve this problem though.

However, their hair is nothing for this little vacuum, we have lovingly called Roxanne! She is able to clean the entire main part of the house before recharging and the capacity of the vacuum makes maintenance a breeze! Full disclosure: the first unit’s battery wouldn’t work. However, a short call to Roomba and they sent out a new unit.

This model is very efficient, picks up all the dirt / dust on the floors and goes back to its charging station with ease. The battery life is great, and it is not loud either. I can program it to do a daily spot cleaning right from my iPhone mobile app. Also I do an every room clean every few days and am amazed at how well it does the job. The battery life is quite amazing as it lasts a charge for more than one hour at a time. The sound is relatively low and doesn’t disturb which is great as it is much quicker than my regular vacuum! Maintaining and emptying is fairly easy. I am beyond excited I was chosen for this campaign and can help, others when deciding to purchase. Get an IRobot Roomba 205 you will not be disappointed!

I have a cat and this keeps all the annoying hair at bay! The machine is quiet and I love that it doesn’t have a charging dock. The battery life is really good too. I haven’t tried the mop feature yet but I am excited to. I also like how you can schedule cleanings and specific rooms!

The app was constantly crashing but they had an update and we were finally able to use the Roomba. The robot is a little clunky when it starts out but better adapts to your living space as it learns the layout of the house! It does a good job of vacuuming without us needing to do the work. The noise level is not as loud as a normal vacuum but it does have a vacuuming noise as expected. All in all, it does a good job as long as the app continues to work!

I'm so impressed with how much better this roomba is compared to my previous model. It's super quiet when cleaning which is amazing because my last one was very loud and disruptive. So so happy with this product!! I also love how the trash container is large so it can hold a lot of dirt and trash. I recommend to all my friends that they need a roomba!
