Strong smell made forehead breakout
Really strong scent, made my forehead breakout. The smell also isn’t pleasant. I cannot find the older formula so I tried this won’t ever again.

Leaves sticky film
I’m loyal to the brand. However, this immediately leaves a sticky film that drives weight on your hair no matter how little you use or how thoroughly you rinse. I’ve tried using just the shampoo or just the conditioner and they both leave the film. It smells amazing, but this is the first product in the line never had an issue with, and it would not suggest buying the specific one.

New scent is VERY masculine, not for me
Before they changed the formula, my husband and I have been using the curl shampoo and conditioner for years in this brand, so decided to give this a try. I will say that the conditioner is very hydrating and works well, but the scent is very masculine now and I do not care for it. Probably enough that I won’t continue to buy this conditioner which is a shame because it does work nice. It is very manly hippie scent/incense smelling nothing fruity anymore

Great Conditioner Option!

Drying alcohols
I used to love Not Your Mother’s products, specifically the naturals line for having such good and healthy ingredients. I don’t know why people always have to ruin a great thing. To replace the naturals line with this crap is bs. Who on earth wants to put ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL in their hair!? A drying alcohol. From a conditioner that is supposed to be “moisturizing”!? The naturals line worked sooooo much better in moisturizing and taking care of your hair. I am so disappointed in this product and that they would change the ingredients like this.

Smells like a mans deodorant
I wondered what happened to my favorite NYM conditioner. I noticed it came back with a new description, packaging and scent. I was skeptical but I bought it anyway. First off, the new dispenser is better than the last one. I like that it’s a snap open/close top. What I don’t like about this new is the scent. It smells like a man’s deodorant. Not that it smells bad but not what I want my hair to smell like. Another thing I do not like is that it doesn’t make my hair as soft as the old one. I am going to continue to give it try since I already paid for it but I will not be purchasing this again.

Doesn't soften hair at all, makes it hard to comb out I definitely don't care for the smell at all! Doesn't smell like apple but a masculine woodsy smell so I returned it.

Thick and moisturizing conditioner

Due to it being pretty thick, you do not need to use much of it which is great but also sucks. I am going through the shampoo a lot faster. I still feel so clean after the shampoo and the conditioner makes me feel better and moisturized.

I was excited to try it, as it mentions on the bottle that it is for softening stressed hair. Unfortunately, this product had the complete opposite effect on my hair.. I used in my shower routine for a couple of weeks and was left with an itchy scalp & frizzy, unruly hair every time.. maybe it depends on your hair type, I'm unsure.
