I was not happy when I saw the shape change but I gave it a shot and ordered some. Unfortunately the new shape does not fit in my shampoo and conditioner holders I have of yours. The shape is far less ergonomic and occasionally ends up slipping out of my hand. The original shapes were perfect. I hope they change back, until then I will be searching for a new shampoo and conditioner.

I love all the ethique products I use and I have recently started using this shampoo. It has a nice, light smell, a great lather and seems to help tame my frizzy, curly hair in the hot humid summer months. A great plastic free option!!

After look for years for the right shampoo, I found this Soap, which leaves my hair softer.

I've used Ethique shampoo for 5 years and they decided to change the shape from a square to a moon and it's hard to hold in the shower. They also changed the shape of my face wash bar and that one is also awkward to hold. I still love how the bars clean but I may need to swap brands because the shape is awkward.

I've been using Ethique shampoo and conditioner bars for years. I love how long each bar lasts. The bars lather well and leave my hair feeling soft. I love the idea of solid shampoo and conditioner for travel. I have to agree with many other reviewers that the changes in the shape don't make a whole lot of sense. I appreciated how simplistic the square bars were. I'm also one who invested in the storage container - which the new bars do not fit into. I still love the product but am becoming concerned about whether this company is starting to put profit before the planet. I think companies ought to take more responsibility in the end-of-life process for their products. I believe this bar is compostable or biodegradable? but I don't love the idea of many consumers out there trying to dispose of a perfectly functional product just to have to turn around and purchase the same product, only slightly bigger. I can understand that this new shape may be easier for some people to use... Personally, however, I find it takes much less work to lather the bar in my hands and then rub it into my scalp, basically rendering the shape of the bar immaterial. (Perhaps it sounds like I'm contradicting myself here but my point being - why "fix" something that isn't broke!?) Because of this, I've determined that cutting the new bars in half is a good solution to be able to continue using my container. I'll just store the other half in a dry place until needed. Thankfully I don't have to worry about disposing of my current storage container and I don't have to even think about purchasing a new one :)

My new favorite for the winter (dry hair & scalp), and I'm hoping it works in the summer, too (super oily, I usually use Clarifying). I have straight hair that is wavy beneath my ears, and so frizzy, and this takes the frizz out of the picture! I've been wearing my hair down, or in a loose low pony tail. I used to wear my hair up constantly and use product to hide all the frizz. I also LOVE the scent. Do I deeply inhale the bar prior to using it on my hair?? Absolutely!

I love that I have the option to select products that suit my hair needs unlike other companies. My hair has had much more moisture now!

I wasn't sure if this would work because my hair is wavy and has a mind of its own. It loves to stick up and frizz, especially when I have places to be (like going to my high-end workplace where my hair needs to look nice). This actually reduced the frizz in my hair and made it more manageable, and it's a consistent improvement, even on bad hair days. I'm very pleased with this shampoo!

I've been making an effort to switch to low/no plastic packaging products, and when it came to my shampoo and conditioner I had resigned myself to liking the products a bit less than my previous liquid ones, however that hasn't been the case with this shampoo bar. It works just as well, if not better, than my liquid shampoo and it LATHERS so well!

I loved the old version (Frizz Wrangler) of this shampoo bar and this new one is even better! When I use this shampoo I don't even need conditioner. Coconut is so moisturizing and nourishing, my hair drinks it right in. The coconut fragrance is wonderfully light and fresh! Ethique bars are hands down the best there is.

I've loved Ethique shampoo bars for several years. This is no exception. My only disappointment was that my old container doesn't fit the new bar. Otherwise, it is great!

The original formula (Frizz Wrangler) was much better. The newer one has made my hair greasy. I don't understand why all of the reviews for the old bar are still up as if they apply to the new formula-that is deceptive. Ethique keeps canceling and changing good products. I wish they'd bring back the hand soap and shampoo concentrates and face serums and stop changing the shampoo bar formulas. Also the new shapes create more packaging. I hate to see what was once a great company go downhill and I don't understand why.

My wavy hair tends to friz in the winter months and this has helped calm it down. Thank you ethique!

Great shampoo

I have fine hair but with the intensively humid summers, I gave this a try. It really helped keep down the frizz in my hair . I am just amazed how well these shampoo bars perform. I gave it four stars as I only used the sample a few times, waiting to use the full size bar.

I love this shampoo for my hair (straight and fine, half gray). It's nice and frothy and helps my hair from being too frizzy. Would recommend!

I love this shampoo! Nice and foamy and helps make my hair smooth. Will be buying in a large size for regular use!
