Perfect for cereal, oats, rice and other dry goods, this Plastic Food Storage Container with Snap Lid from Made By Design™ will make a great addition to your pantry or kitchen counter. Clear sides make it easy to see what’s inside, and an indented back lets you easily lift and hold the container. The white lid keeps your food fresh, while the pour spout lets you easily access food without having to take the lid off completely.
Looked a long time for BPA free plastic, super clear and sleek/thin top for food storage, but this isn't it. This tall container was too tall to fit in my cabinet w/o having to adjust the height of all the shelves, thereby reducing the number of shelves (and having to stack other smaller containers 2-4 high to fit in same height as this cereal container). I could just barely grip the outside to lift w one hand. If full of cereal, I'd need 2 hands. Not made for petite person to grip. To get that clear acrylic look, there's more weight than other containers. The top was not easy to flip open requiring 2 hands. Difficult to grip the top to remove lid & fill the contents. It's super beautiful, but not functionally easy to use on a daily basis for cereal.
I bought this to keep my cereal fresh and away from bugs as I have some ants roaming around. It does a good job at keeping it fresh as it has a good seal. But the opening is too small at least for the cereal I buy. I buy Mini Wheats most of the time and they just get clogged up at the opening and only a few come out at a time. If you eat cereal that's smaller pieces like Cheerios you probably won't have this issue.
