Acure Brunette to Dark Hair Dry Shampoo - 1.7oz

Best non-aerosol formula. I have dark brown hair and when you apply it it is very light but once you really rub it in it does such a great job absorbing oil. Non-aerosol dry shampoo powders are tough to apply no matter what the dispenser is. I load it on the night before and sleep with it so that it can really sit in my hair. I love it and will continue to repurchase.

This is the best dry shampoo! Put it in at night before bed and in the morning your hair is like new! Plus you don’t have to deal with the smell like aerosol dry shampoos.

I didn’t like this at all. I was trying to find a more affordable clean option than a custom product and gave this a try. It does leave a white residue as other reviews mention. It also isn’t easy to apply. I can’t seem to get my roots right where they meet my forehead without a giant mess. It’s also difficult to get the powder out without holding it at just the perfect angle which is frustrating. I feel like I kept applying and applying and my hair still looked oily just oily with a gray tinge. I definitely would not recommend and wouldn’t buy it again.

I LOVE this product. I put on a generous amount before bed and wake up looking like I I just washed my hair! Prefer this over the aresol sprays 10/10 recommend!

This product worked great on my hair! I have fine, light brown hair that gets greasy somewhat fast. I did about three shakes of the container into my hand and then applied it to my hair, first starting at the top and then moving on down to the ends of my hair. I think this method works better than applying it directly to your head since you can have more control over the amount you get.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I bought this products since it was for brunettes and I have very dark hair and it just leaves awful residue and smells funky.

Like that this is better for you health wise as opposed to aerosols that I’ve used in the past and it does a great job. Takes a little getting used to because I’ve never used a powder before and I would have given it 5 stars but it’s not as dark as I thought but it’s way better than the bright white that aerosols leave.

The packaging and product works just fine, considering I did buy this to avoid aerosol cans. It is a little smaller than I expected, so just be aware of that. However the real problem is that this is nowhere near a brunette color— it’s not even really for blondes, either. It’s a weird pinky color that looks like a face powder, and when it’s diffused in your hair it’s too light to look much different than a regular white dry shampoo. I get that it’s really limiting to stick to more natural ingredients, but I don’t understand how they can call this brunette.

PLZ USE BEFORE UR HAIR GETS OILY!!! It does a really good job of preventing it from getting oily but it doesn’t help as much if ur hair is already oily. If you want to wait for ur hair to get oily before you use it than I suggest using a spray dry shampoo since those tend to dry ur hair out. And the powder is a light brown/tan color but it blends into my hair so easily compared to their other white powder dry shampoo. Tbh if you just put it on at night then you won’t have the problem of it even showing a bit of color by the morning if you’re that worried about the color/blending it in. The applicator on the acure powder dry shampoos are also much better than the other powder dry shampoos which use a pump because you have more control where you put it, also when I tried a pump one before it stopped working halfway through the bottle so then it became sm harder to apply evenly. This product has lasted me MONTHS compared to spray dry shampoos which only last me a few weeks at most. There’s truly nothing bad to say but I think most ppl just haven’t used powder dry shampoos enough to really know how to properly use them/know how it’s supposed to work.

This is the only dry shampoo I've found that I like. USE BEFORE YOUR HAIR GETS OILY!!! If I know I'm going to skip washing in the days ahead I go ahead and use this after washing and drying... definitely if I'm going to bed soon!

Love everything about it. I’ve tried aerosol dry shampoos, which would clog my scalp and feel like I had a layer of product lying on top of it. I’ve tried other dry shampoos that are non-aerosol powders and couldn’t find a great dispenser, but this works perfectly. I have control of how much and where, and then I’m able to massage the product into the scalp. No caking, no greasy feeling, no odd smell (barely smell anything)…just freshness. Other similar products were actually more expensive too. This is now my go-to. Thanks!!

Here's what I found... bottom line, I like this product. However, there were a few things I didn't love. First, I was so focused on reading the ingredients (which I like) I didn't pay attention to the size! It's tiny! It's a little less than 5 inches tall for reference. As annoyed as I was with the size (basically travel size) I realized it's a pretty handy size to use while sprinkling into your hair instead of a big bottle. One of my old time favorites was discontinued so I compare every product to it. This product I feel like I Definitely need to use more of it to get to the consistency I like. I have very dark hair and after working this into my roots, brushing my hair it doesn't leave any white streaks etc. The scent is barely noticeable compared to some others I've tried! Don't forget it's recommended to use dry shampoo in the evening (though I use it when I know I'm going to need a touch up and skipping the hair washing). Also recommended to use before your hair is really oily bc you'll end up using a ton more product. Try to prepare before hand and add in when you think your hair is going to get oily!

I have a sensitive scalp and big name brand dry shampoo sprays have caused my scalp to be itchy and flaky (I’ve tried so many!). I switched to Acure dry shampoo and have had none of those issues anymore! I suggest working it into your hair in sections.. it’s dry shampoo so it’s going to look white on your hair before you work it in (they all do that!) but it is a fantastic option for those that have sensitive scalps like me!

Of all that I be tried, I like this dry shampoo best. I’ve learned that for me it works well to apply at night, before sleeping. I don’t even brush it in, I just sprinkle it around the areas where I know my hair will look its oiliest. When I wake up, it’s worked its way in and is no longer obviously visible. I can only go one day between washing because my scalp gets so oily, but this helps that no-wash day look a little better. The container is small but you don’t need much. It’s super easy to travel since it’s not a large or heavy product.

There’s definitely a learning curve in using this product! Like others have mentioned, it does leave a white overcast on your hair (even with the brunette version) but I’ve found that this only happens if I’m putting too much product in. This is super easy to do if you’re just getting used to the powder format as opposed to an aerosol. Other than that, I’m really liking this!

This is basically an off white powder that goes everywhere. It leaves white dandruff looking flakes in your hair no matter how much you brush it. I wouldn't use this for light or dark hair. It's horrible. Also, the bottle is very small.

i still see some powder in my hair, but not as bad as the white powder
