Description
The American Red Cross Infrared Forehead Thermometer lets you take baby’s temperature in a gentle way that won’t disturb them. This no-touch method of temperature taking lets you take a sleepy baby’s temperature while they stay comfortable in the crib. The infrared technology provides an instant reading which is displayed on the large, easy-view screen. If a fever is detected, the silent red-light alert won’t startle a drowsy child. No Good
This is the worst thermometer I have ever owned. Months ago when my husband had Covid & pneumonia I took his temperature right before heading to the doctors office and the thermometer said he didn’t even have a fever. At the doctors office… 102. I tried the same thing the next time I went to the doctor with a sinus infection and at home with the thermometer it was 99 & at the doctors office my temperature was normal. This thermometer is all over the place & has been proven wrong twice. Both low & high. Useless…

Reads accurately but instructions were confusing at first.
I used to think that it did not give accurate temp. But then I read on a competitor’s thermometer that it should be placed above the nose and between the eyes to read accurately. I now have no problem. The manufacturer should make the instructions more clear/noticeable.

Snowflake thermometer
This thermometer is very temperamental. The thermometer itself has to be warm enough for you to use. For instance, I don’t keep my house very warm. If the thermometer has been sitting in a room that 60°, it won’t work until I physically warm up the thermometer. If you plan on using this thermometer to check peoples temperature (re: COVID) who are coming and going, the thermometer itself to be kept warm in order for it to work at all. I do I do not recommend this model.

Absolute garbage gives inaccurate readings more of a hassle to figure out how to use then it should be don’t waste your money not worth it will be returning

I just recently bought this thermometer, after having gone through two other cheaper digital thermometers. I read through all the bad reviews and was most worried about the accuracy. I found my thermometer to be pretty accurate when following the instructions provided (point light to a clear area, no more than 2 inches away). This thermometer gives an instant reading without having to keep my fussy child still. Even though these cost more, I would buy it again in an instant.

Perfect thermometer for young kids.

So easy to use!

It also has a very sleek, nice design. Much better than any sublingual thermometers that I've always traditionally used. This makes it so much easier to not have to try to hold a thermometer in place under a child's tongue. I had never seen one of these before but I am glad to have the opportunity to use one. very accurate as well readings!
