Back to the Roots Organic Indoor Potting Mix Specialty Blend is specially formulated for indoor potted plants. In addition to organic all-purpose plant food, this specialty blend contains perlite for aeration and drainage, coconut coir and yucca extract for moisture control, and dolomitic limestone to help adjust pH. Plus, it has one of nature's most powerful growing ingredients: root-boosting mycorrhizae. Since it's made without bark or compost, it's less prone to indoor gnats. I used it for my peace lily plant, and as of now, it seems to be working fine. This blend also has organic food mixed to feed the plant. The only thing that I'm not too fond of is the way it clumps. But if my plant is happy, I am happy.

It has been optimized for drainage and aeration and has ingredients to promote growth. I replanted a pothos and the soil blend is dry, fluffy and comprised of an organic and peat-free mix. I took a star off because it didn’t come packaged inside anything other than the bag holding the soil and there was some delivery wear and tear on the bag (luckily no tears). Looking forward to seeing its benefits long term and repotting some of my other indoor plants.

I really like the composition and draining qualities of this soil!! Definitely helps keep several of my indoor plants alive by avoiding the dreaded root rot! I also really really like that it does not seem to attract or become a breeding ground for gnats or other pesky pests. My only dislike is that the soil really needs worked in a bit at first, but that’s moreso a personal aesthetic preference.

Bought my plant back to life! I’ve had a Peace Lilly for 18 months and put just enough dirt at the top of the pot and it started sprouting more leaves! I plan to buy more when I repot it in the spring

Don't buy it if there are any bugs nearby. Purchased this soil to repot a growing plant. The dirt was infested with fungus knats and now the plant has to live outdoors. So much for overpriced indoor soil.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. The potting soil has a rich earthy smell. It is loose, and it has large clumps. That seems good for the roots so far. The soil holds a lot of moisture. So, be careful not to over water when using this potting soil. My spider plant is doing well. I'm satisfied with the potting soil.

This is the driest, sandiest, clumpiest dirt taken off the side of the road and resold to poor consumers. Don’t buy this garbage sand and dirt mix for your poor plants, it’s not good quality at all.
