Q: How airtight are these? Does it keep moisture out? Can you flip or place on side without worries of lid coming loose?

A: These wooden Ball jar lids feature an airtight silicone seal, making them perfect for dry foods and pantry storage. We do not have testing to confirm whether the lids will remain securely in place when jars are stored on their sides for extended periods. As such, we are unable to recommend this storage method for long-term use.

A: Thank you for your interest in the Ball 5pk. Wooden Storage Lids, Wide Mouth. These lids are manufactured in China and Vietnam. The lids are coated in a food safe paint to help them resist moisture and protect them from decay caused by air exposure. Wood has a clear coat stain to keep wood protected from moisture.

These seem to provide a good seal, and they are attractive in a rustic way. Can't speak to their longevity as I just bought them. Pricey, so I hope they last. I wish Target carried the "regular mouth" size as well.

Love these for my ball glass jars , it seals well and is easier to take off. It also looks much nicer than the metal lids that come with the jars. Mismatched lids
These wooden lids are nice and they fit great but each lid looks different. I understand wood has different variations in the grain but these lids are completely different colors. Ones light blonde wood while another is dark it was just a little funny and they don’t really look like the picture at all. If your looking for them to match you may not like these!
