The 450-watt motor and 4-tip stainless steel blade can easily crush ice or fresh or frozen fruits for a smooth, consistent blend. The 48oz jar is made without BPA and features an easy-pour spout and generous handle for a steady pour. Lid includes a removable measuring cap for adding ingredients with precision. Removable jar and lid are dishwasher safe.

A: For $30 most likely not a glass jar. specifications say: Material: Metal, Plastic so, most likely a plastic jar piece- the pictures show the jar as being quite thin and the handle looks molded.

This blender really doesn't work at all, unless you are to try to blend a liquid or something like cottage cheese. I tried to blend a drink with ice and definitely did not blend. Would have given it 1 star, but it truly is so cute and easy to store. Obviously it is cost effective, but still not worth this value.

The blending / ice crush function stalls after a few turns even when set on high option. I had to stir ice cubes around 4-5 times for it to crush ice completely. Even the other buttons do the same. Took about 2.5 mins before it turned ice to smoothie, even then there are a few remaining ice that was not smoothed. Need this machine to be replaced, maybe this one was just a bad batch, I'm willing to give it another chance.
