Q: Does the battery last a good amount of time or are you recharging every use?

A: Yes, as long as you don’t recharge after every use. I am on my second one. The first I’d plug in after each use and it only lasted a year or so. This one I only charge when it dies. It charges up fairly quickly and I can use the same charge for 1-2 weeks. I use it pretty much daily for kid crumbs
submitted byKaren - 5 years agoA: Unfortunately, you must recharge every use. After the first few months, the battery ran down rather quickly. We have since switched to a Dirt Devil which is holding up very well between charges and doesn’t even have to be recharged after every use.

A: Hi Randall, When charging the HHVI325JR22 the light will blink. Once it is fully charged it will be a solid light.

A: We would not recommend using the HHVI325JR22 for turkey feathers. They may get caught in the tubing and clog the vacuum.

Q: does this charge with a plug into the unit or on a cradle i have to put on the wall? The pictures show both. the one i have now ( a few years old) uses a plug.

A: The HHVI325JR22 will charge with the jack plug charger. There is also a wall mount. The charger and wall mount are separate.

Have the same model in gray. I like it less than an older model we had for about 3 years. Pros: + powerful suction + easy to remove the canister for emptying + nice extendable nozzle Cons: - shorter battery life - suction is too powerful for use on upholstery or any fabrics with flex - the vacuum will suck up the material fabric, pulling it tight and sending crumbs flying. Relevant for people with infant high chairs. - noisy, even my hard-of-hearing MIL comments on this - longer charge time - canister sometimes pops off when maneuvering under furniture, spilling the contents

More powerful than the last model I had. I had one by the same company for 5 years and it was very similar. This seems better and lasts a bit longer. The older model had a blue “recharge” light on it that this new one doesn’t have. I miss that feature. It tells you if it needs to be recharged. I like that everything is washable.

i have 2 of these 1 in each house and they have lasted way more than the guarantee never had a problem i do change filter regularly have dog and kitty the old one is in my summer home over 5 yrs usage bought other models and brands dont hold up

I've had the B&D Cordless Hand Vac (CHV1510) for about 3 years now (past the 2-year warranty). It wasn't used often, but now doesn't hold a charge. The factory service center doesn't replace batteries. I was told if it was still under warranty, they would simply swap it out with a new one. What a waste of a product that the rechargeable battery can't be replaced by either the consumer or the actual company who makes the product! Save your money - don't buy one unless you don't mind buying a new one every two years. I now have to throw a perfectly good tool (other than the battery) into a landfill.

I bought this Dustbuster 7-30-2018 as a replacement for my 20 year old unit. It worked well for 2 years, but now won't hold a charge. There doesn't seem to be a replacement battery for this unit. Poor business model.

This handheld vacuum works perfectly. I wanted something I could use for small little messes and this works great. I like that it is lightweight. This is really powerful for a little vacuum. It is also very easy to empty. The expanding nozzle it great to reach places I normally can’t reach. This also works great on my furniture.

This hand-vac is powerful enough for common clean-ups. The charge lasts about 15 minutes. The only shortcoming is that it does not have a storage compartment for the accessories.

We purchased 2 of these, one as a gift, one for ourselves. The gift is receiving heavy use from a single apartment dweller who uses it as mini vacuum, and with aftermarket attachments to clean the auto. Ours us used as a traditional Dustbuster. Both agree this is a great product, good power, quick recharging, easy to mount. Love it!

I'd have to keep the thing plugged in all the time just so I could use it for a quick three-minute clean up. I was going to replace the batteries, but the replacement cells cost as much as a brand-new DustBuster!!! I finally had to get rid of it, sadly. IF YOU'RE READING THIS BLACK & DECKER, the DustBuster name is a brand that most people know and, seemingly, trust. Develop a DustBuster with REMOVABLE and RELIABLE battery packs. Otherwise, you WILL lose a loyal customer base.
