By design, the Open Earbuds don’t block out the world or have noise cancelling, so you can enjoy your music while staying open to the sounds of the world around you. They do have an automatic volume control feature, available in the Bose app, that helps you hear your music evenly as your environment changes from quiet to loud and back.

Do Not Buy!
Don’t buy them they’re a piece of crap and target won’t allow me to return or get a refund due to their return policy and Bose won’t do anything because they’re target exclusive. They disconnect on their own and the other person can’t hear you while talking on the phone. I would’ve given it a negative 0 stars but not possible.

These sound lovely!
I bought these about a month ago and I love being able to hear all around me when I'm wearing them. They work one at a time on either side as well. They sound very lovely, and I listen to everything from rock to opera to folk music all in one sitting. I would have given them 5 stars except the clicking controls and I don't work very well together.

PRO’s and CON’s
I have had this Earbuds for a couple of weeks and use them every day. PRO - sound is great and clear - fit is easy and secure - the speed of and amount of charge in the hanging case for the buds is unexpectedly adequate CON - instructions are sparce - I cannot get the buds to answer an incoming phone call - The charging case could use wireless charging option

I loveeee my ultra buds. So easy to use. I have never been able to wear ear buds because my ears are so little. Con.. I can’t really talk on the phone. My voice isn’t alway clear to the recipient.

Stunning jewelry with great sound
Absolutely gorgeous headphones that are the most comfortable I have ever worn. I hate earbuds and full size headphones are not the most practical when traveling. These are beautiful, comfortable, lightweight with great sound quality. The box looks like a jewelry box the filigree is intricate and goes well with my jewelry.

Great discovery!!
I've had these for a few weeks now. These things are amazing. Working on the Ranch, in the barn, running etc these things stay put. They are plenty loud enough, but you can also turn them down and carry on a conversation.

New favourite earbuds
I have a slight obsession with headphones and earbuds, even more so since I switched to bone conduction for running. These aren't that, but they are amazing! Obviously they don't block noise, and they're not supposed to so a lot noise will result in an inability to hear your music/podcast/whatever. Traditional earbuds leave my ears feeling dirty because I generally am listening to something for most of the day (audiobooks, music, or Podcasts at any given time). These don't leave you Googling "how many hours is safe to wear noise cancelling earbuds?" Or "am I pushing earwax further into my ear with my earbuds?" But they are very comfortable (I forget they're there), surprisingly secure, and the sound quality, assuming you're in a reasonable area, is great! Expensive but worth the splurge.

Super comfortable but not the best for phone calls
I’ve been using these Bose headphones for a while and overall they’re really comfortable. You can wear them for hours and barely even feel that they’re on your head which makes them great for long trips or work. The comfort level is one of the best things about them. The biggest flaw I’ve found is when I have them on during a phone call sometimes I can’t hear people talking and people can’t really hear me either which is not great. The noise cancellation while listening to music works really well though and makes it easy to focus only on what I’m listening to. The sound quality is clear and balanced and you can hear the music nicely without distortion. However there’s almost no bass which is a bummer if you like deeper sounds or heavy beats. The sound is clean but a little flat because of that. Still for everyday listening podcasts or they do a great job. The build feels lightweight but sturdy and they sit nicely on your ears without pressure. If you want comfort and clarity over strong bass these Bose headphones are a great choice .

Great product
Bought these on sale, I was a bit skeptical at first since they are open ear buds and these will be my first time owning a pair. I was not disappointed at all. Love the fact that I'm able to enjoy these earbuds at work. I do work in an environment where I have to constantly keep checking on my radio for any call outs. I'm able to enjoy my music while being able to hear around my environment. Only issue is the longevity of the ear buds themselves they last about 6 hrs. I do work 12hr shifts. Overall I do recommend these earbuds if you want to enjoy your music while being aware of your surroundings

Great Design
My Wife bought these after her first pair in white got stolen, so it shows that Bose does have a winner here! My wife loves her new purple version and loves the sound quality and the fact she can hear others trying to talk to her while wearing these. They are comfortable as well.
