Q: Issues with auto-off function. Did not stay on for pre-set 2 hours the 1st day, I adjusted it for 3.5 hours and it stayed on the 2nd day, then it turned off immediately after brewing the 3rd day. Is there a step I am missing or is this a faulty item?

submitted byBraun Customer Care - 3 years agoBrand expertA: Same here. It's not you. Ours worked for a day or two, the warmer would cycle off and on very noticeably. I'm going to just try to enter the AutoOff setting each time before brewing and see if that works. In the book there is a single line in the back under troubleshooting. Problem: Coffee is not hot Cause: Keep warm mode has ended Solution: ------- Guess even they can figure it out. There is no mention of Keep Warm Mode, so it's interesting little glitch. The other fix is we use a thermos and pour it into that, keeps the coffee warm for a few hours that way. Good luck if you figure it out.

Don't hit anything if the time is set where you want it........ Wait for numbers to dissappear. Then select brewing cycle........ Not my favorite but better then trying to return this thing.......

Q: How many U.S. fluid ounces of coffee does this "14 cup" coffee maker make and hold in the caraffe? A U.S. Standard cup is 8 oz., but I ordered a "14 cup" coffee maker that makes 50 oz. of coffee.

An $80 coffee maker should last longer than 1 year. Went completely dead, no power. After that the return policy isn’t valid and going through the manufacturer is a dead end. Save your money and buy a cheap pot!

Bought this Braun coffee maker 2 months ago and the measuring water numbers and lines have washed completely away. I use a sharpie to draw the lines now. Makes excellent coffee though!

We have been using this coffee maker for about 1.5 years. Easy to use, the 14 cup capacity is nice because it's needed on the weekends, "clean" seems to be required frequently but it's relatively easy to do. Make a nice cup of coffee and the warming plate keeps the coffee hot. Unfortunately this morning the unit had a meltdown. After it was done brewing, it beeped and we enjoyed our coffee as usual. When I went back for my second cup, there was the smell of melting plastic and error code E3 flashing. The top of the unit was very hot. I unplugged it and put some water into the reservoir. When I plugged the unit back in and turned it on, 'Clean' was flashing so I prepped and started a cleaning cycle. 'Clean' flashes slowly for a minute and then the unit turns off. The reservoir smells of burned plastic.

We’ve developed a hatred for this machine. While there are no issues with actually brewing coffee, the water chamber leaks profusely and the coffee pot pours everywhere when trying to pour a cup. We’re constantly cleaning up water and coffee

Once made you have a great cup of coffee but programming it takes patience. I've almost returned it several times in frustration, still not sure it's staying. It must be programmed, you can't just turn it on to make coffee.
The buttons are not functioning.

I passionately hate this new coffee machine. I have had for a few months now and it is stupidly difficult to use. Adjusting the clock and setting autobrew are not very easy and the buttons in the machine work poorly. Going to have to buy another machine to replace, this one is that bad.

Ive had this for months now and I am really happy with this machine. It makes a perfect hot rich cup of coffee every single time. Setting it up was the part that took a little time just with setting the time, type of water etc but then its literally'On' and tap what kind of brew. Its well made.

It is quite big and a little tough to find space for, but we make it work! It has more features than my Keurig and it makes a perfectly delicious cold brew!
