Rug pads are a great way to protect your floors from scratching or color transfer. They provide extra slip resistant protection and cushioning underfoot, and also extend the life of your rug by preventing pile crush and traffic wear patterns. Rug pads should be smaller than your area rug size by at least 1-2 inches on each side. This allows the rug to lay flat on the ground preventing a tripping hazard. Most area rug pads can be trimmed down to size using scissors.

A: Actually, the pattern that looks black is a deep blue and there is literally no brown or gold in the pattern! It also, despite Target's pictures, is a soft terracotta and pink! It is deeper in color than the picture would indicate. I cannot fathom why they would picture it inaccurately. Getting colors right is so important to making a room coordinate.

Q: I bought a 5X7 Opalhouse rug from Target about a year ago, the "Octavia", color is "blush teal". The pattern is identical to this Diamond pattern but I can't tell if the colors are the same? Clarify?

I love the design, the colors really pop. It feels good on my feet and matches the exposed brick walls nicely. The teal isn't for me and doesn't match my furniture so I plan on returning it. If you have a lot of color in your space already, this rug can be a little overwhelming but it would be the perfect pop of color for a monochromatic space.

This is a five star rug through and through. I’ve had it for one year in the 7x10 size and it has withstood cat and dog accidents, dirty paws, house parties and all other foot traffic. I can even scrape it with the pet hair tools and it doesn’t snag or ruin the material. All I have to do is vacuum it with my super basic upright vacuum and it’s brand new again. The corner that gets stepped on the most because it’s near the entrance is a little more worn in color but it still matches the whole rug. I would buy again if I had to replace this one.

I have two versions of this rug: first came the 8’ round monochromatic black/white/gray/beige and later the 10x13 teal. I wish I had purchased them sooner!! I waited too long to get a larger rectangular rug in black/white, now they are gone! The pile height is enough to warm up a room and offer some sound dampening. The dogs like laying on it, and any pet messes clean up easily. The teal was purchased for a different living area and is crazy beautiful. I wish the stock photo did it justice, I wouldn’t have waited for so long to purchase it. I wish the two colors I had came in a larger variety of sizes like the one with salmon pink in it. I would have used WAY more my preferred color palettes. Only negative is polyester attracts pet hair very quickly, but a far better rug material than polypropylene/olefin which stains very quickly from oils.

This rug is absolutely gorgeous and vibrant. It was exactly what I was looking for. The other reviews about the pungent odor that it contains is 100% accurate. The smell was so strong and chemical-like, that I put it out on my front porch to air it out. It doesn’t seem to be subsiding after 4 days. It was making us feel nauseous and ill. I will give it a few more days, and then will have to return it, if it does not subside. Otherwise, it is the perfect rug.

I originally ordered a similar runner in green from the same brand, but they were out. I had liked this one, but wasn’t sure if the colors would be good or not. I asked my shipt shopper to get it because I really needed a runner & it is super soft, padded, & so cute! The colors are vibrant & it’s the perfect length/width for my hallway. Got this for my son’s room and we love it! I think it’s very well-made for the price. It doesn’t look cheap and plasticky like some inexpensive rugs- the colors are muted and beautiful, but still colorful. The 5 x 7’ is the perfect size for his small room. Also it came quickly :)
