Description
ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula is designed for babies 0-12 months old. We're the only US-made infant formula with a patented protein blend that gets closest to breast milk – by including alpha-lac and lactoferrin (the 2 most abundant proteins in breast milk) as unique ingredients, plus broken-down proteins.
We're the only US-made infant formula to use organic, grass-fed whole milk (not skim). Lactose is our primary carbohydrate (just like breast milk!). We also ran the largest clinical trial by a new infant formula company in 25 years—proving benefits like easier digestion, less spit-up, softer poops, more efficient weight gain, enhanced nutrient absorption, and longer stretches between nighttime feeds* vs a leading infant formula.
ByHeart is the first infant formula company to receive Clean Label Project's highest-tier Purity Award, and our formula is made with globally sourced ingredients in our own factories in Iowa, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.
ByHeart is Non-GMO Certified, Certified Pesticide-Free, National Organics Board Certified Made with Organic Grass Fed Whole Milk and free of: corn syrup, gluten, soy, maltodextrin, hexane-extracted DHA, artificial growth hormones**, and palm oil.
Origin: Made in the USA, with globally sourced ingredients.

Q: Can you think about changing the can to make it easier to open? It's difficult as is with only 1indent and then when you hold your baby it's nearly impossible to open. Love the product not the can!!!
A: Agreed! Maybe use paper cardboard packaging on the bottom part so I can make it easier to open to and more affordable
submitted byLady v - 2 months agoA: 1000000000% need a can that you can open with one hand while holding a baby!!!
submitted bygmc - 4 months agoA: Thank you for sharing your concerns, we value your feedback and will definitely share it with our team. Additionally, we’d love it if you could email us directly at hello@byheart.com with additional details so we can learn more about your experience with ByHeart.

Q: Can I use boiled water to mix, then once cooled store in the fridge for up to 24 hours? Or once heated, does it need to be used ASAP?
A: Yes, absolutely. If you want to save formula for later, you can keep it in the fridge (capped!) for up to 24 hours.

Q: What is the expiration date ?
A: Great question! Each unopened can of ByHeart is good for 24 months, but for exact dates, you can see the "Use By" date on the bottom of your can. Once opened, our formula can be used within one month (be sure to tightly cover the can after each use!).

Q: I noticed the can is different. Is the formula the same as it was before?
A: The formula is the same. The can is different because they now manufacture their own cans (which was outsourced previously).
submitted byIH91 - 1 year agoA: We did update our packaging - thanks for noticing! We made design updates to make sure the information on the label was easy-to-digest (pun intended) and could act as a helpful guide for parents looking to learn more about our formula and its benefits. But while our label might’ve changed, our formula did not! Additionally, to ensure we’re always living up to our mission — to make the best infant formula in the world — we’re constantly certifying new suppliers and sources of our key ingredients, like our lactose blend. See more specifics about our certified-clean ingredients on our website.

Q: How long does this formula last (room temperature after mixed) also my son gets constipated on a lot of formulas does this help with constipation?
A: Thanks for your question! For the safety of your baby, they should only be drinking formula that has been sitting at room temperature for up to 2 hours. If you want to save formula for later, you can keep it in the fridge (capped!) for up to 24 hours. Our formula is not only clinically proven compared to another formula for softer stools and less spit up, but it is also an easy-to-digest infant formula that doesn't include soy, corn syrup, palm oil, or maltodextrin.

Q: My baby seems to have an allergy to enfamil brand, i mostly bf but occasionally do a bottle, is this a good brand for sensitive babies?
A: Our infant formula is made with grass-fed whole milk, so it’s unfortunately not appropriate for babies with a cow milk protein allergy. Please reach out to your pediatrician for recommendations about what's best for your baby. That being said, we are always listening to what our community is interested in, and will absolutely pass this inquiry along to the innovation team.

Q: Does this have DHA & ARA in it? I can’t find the information anywhere on the label.
A: Yes - our formula includes docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), arachidonic acid (ARA), alpha-linoleic acid (ALA) as well as other important fatty acids needed by babies.

Q: Is this formula ok to mix with breast milk? Or should it only be used with water?
A: We do not recommend mixing ByHeart with breast milk (when preparing a bottle), as we cannot verify it will optimally mix with our formula. If you'd like to supplement feeds using formula, we recommend doing this as separate feeds rather than combining into the same bottle.

Q: Can this formula be mixed with other formulas. I would like to switch my baby to this formula due to digestive issues from the other brand. But can it be mixed with another brand so I can slowly introduce it to my baby? Thanks
A: We don't recommend mixing ByHeart formula with another brand. Every formula is different and mixing them might result in not enough or too much of various nutrients your baby needs. If you have any concerns about how your baby is doing, we recommend that you call your baby’s pediatrician.
