Q: The oat milk seems to curdle in Hot tea. Is this normal? I just opened the bottle 5 days ago.

submitted by Helen - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello, No that is not normal especially since its only 5 days old. Could be a random one off bottle? I haven't had that issue with my oat milk.

submitted byJm - 4 years ago
  • A: i've noticed this brand of oat milk seems to "split" after sitting in hot coffee for a bit. while it's not gone bad, the optics are a bit offputting. hope that helps! Brian

Absolute favorite oat milk out there. Best flavor and goes perfect in my coffee and tea I only wish they made a smaller size of the milk because it’s only good for a week after you open it

Wanted to try a different brand of oat milk. This is so awful. Smells bad, tastes bad, and leaves a horrible taste in your mouth. Poured mine down the drain. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Going back to Oat-ley

Review for the extra creamy oat milk. Very creamy with a great flavor. I use this for my coffee with just a little bit of cane sugar. There is never any oily floaters in my coffee like others have described. But I have experienced this with other brands.

Sunflower oil

At first I couldn’t figure out the flavor because it didn’t taste like oats, more like a roasted flavor. After reading the ingredient label with sunflower oil listed as the second ingredient I realized it tastes just like roasted sunflower seeds! The sunflower oil really overpowers the flavor of the oats. It’s not bad but I do prefer Oatly over this.

This Oatmilk makes my morning coffee super yummy while also including the Calcium that is missing from most "creamers". Even better is Califia's Protien Oatmilk! More Calcium and Protien. The best!!

This is an unpleasant tasting oat milk. I was trying to choose one with the least ingredients but I chose wrong. I usually make my own oat milk but wanted something more convenient, but this tastes overwhelmingly like oil. I will be dumping down the sink.

Weird taste…

Bought this thinking it would be similar to the other oat milk brands, but it isn’t even close. Tastes like it’s gone bad. Expiration date is two months from today, so that’s not an issue. Other reviewers said theirs tasted off also! Will never buy the Califia brand again!

I don’t normally like to write negative reviews, but this oat milk tasted very unpleasant. Initially, I thought I purchased a spoiled batch and maybe it was just me, but after reading others’ reviews, it is clear that something is off with the taste. I have tried many other brands of oat milk and this is the only one that I sadly had to throw away after opening.

I tried to like this because I saw great reviews. I would shake and shake the bottle before using. For five days straight I had floaters at the top of my coffee. Also, had an extreme oily taste. Threw it away after the fifth day. Definitely would not recommend!

Love Product Hate Bottle and Label

2 out of 5 stars
Unhappy Hand - 2 months ago

I don't very often write reviews, but I felt I needed to write this review. I have recently used your extra creamy oat milk, it is great. I used it to make smoothies and to make Chai lattes and they have been wonderful. Rich, creamy and delicious. However, to recycle the bottle the label must be removed. This is unacceptable. I struggled to get the label off and I resorted to prying it off with a knife and of course stabbed my hand. I will not be buying your product again unless there is another package/bottle which doesn't require removing the label before recycling.
1 reply from Consumer Care team - 2 months ago
We apologize for any frustration with our labels. Last year, we completed the process of transitioning to fully recyclable labels which can be left on the bottles when placed in the recycling bin. It will take a bit longer to get the"zipper" removed from the labels but please feel free to skip the unzip!

I’ve tried my fair share of oat milks and this is the first one that I will not finish. There’s an odd taste to it and, when I put it in my coffee, it made my coffee taste bitter. It was the most unpleasant experience, especially first thing in the morning.
