I’m enjoying my Chefman electric kettle, but because the base cord is so short, it’s very very difficult to have it in a place that is ideal in my kitchen. So a word to the wise - anybody looking for this particular model make sure you are very happy with having a cord less than a foot-long.

Honestly I use this kettle for everything from hard boiled eggs to potatoes and coffee it is the most versatile kitchen appliance I own. Love it!!!! FYI I use real lemon juice to clean the bottom. Just pour about a 1/2 cup in a cool clean bottom and let it sit for a bit and poof! Gone

The first model lasted about 2 years before the button for turning on broke. This one has the switch on the side of the kettle. It looks like it may work better. The previous model would not shut off by itself
