I was hopeful for this, I assume the dark powder might do a better job but the blonde is basically translucent. It doesn’t cover up my roots and it’s so little amount, just looks like eye shadow.

This is great! I am totally gray under my color and touch up my root’s every 2 weeks to avoid a skunk stripe. Occasionally I have to put off coloring for a few days to look good for a special event. Tonight I used medium brown on my roots which are about a quarter of an inch long. It colored them perfectly. Could not tell at all that there were gray roots. Only takes a little I have had mine for quite awhile, so worth the price . Also great for coloring areas of thinning which I have at almost 70 . My hair stylist told me to try this and I am very pleased with the results

Not sure what it does for root cover up but I currently have very bad balding in the front of my hair due to postpartum shedding. I usually just try to cover it up with eye shadow but it got so bad that I wanted to try something else and it did not disappoint! My eyeshadow would look blotchy and was hard to blend underneath what little hair I had there but this product blends so well and you can’t tell that there’s any sign of hair loss. Wish it came with more product for what your paying but used once so far and it seems like a little goes a long way.

I ordered this after reading tons of positive reviews. This stuff is a mess…i touched up my roots as directed…it didn’t really cover…and it transferred everywhere! It’s on my pillows, it was on my face from placing my glasses on my head…then to my face…ugh! Not worth the price…I’ll be going back to the L’Oréal spray product.

You might as well buy loose eye shadow to get the same consistency and results. The product does not stay on your strands, it settles like dust on your scalp.
