Q: How does the dual voltage feature work? I don't see anything to change voltage on the curling iron

A: The internal function seems to have worked for 4 days in Peru but on the fifth day, the curling iron sparked and the electricity went out in my hotel room. I do NOT recommend this curling iron.

Q: How in the heck am I supposed to curl my hair when there is no handle to hold the hair in place while I'm curling it

A: You can't! The earlier, and MUCH better, model had a longer tip with an actual hole in it, so one was able to actually hold the tip without burning your fingers. Today's products are cheaply made - just awful. Guess Conair wanted to save money.

This curling iron tends to turn off while using. You would thing the engineers would look for problems this simple to remedy. The on switch is right where you grip the curling iron when trying to curl your hair. Accidentally you push it and the iron begins to cool you aren’t aware. I guess I expect more.

The on and off button is in a bad place as when using the iron it is easily turned off while trying to curl my hair. The barrel cover does not hold hair tight enough. I find my hair slips off/through the iron. I will be buying a new brand of iron, probably what I previously had. It lasted for years.

I love this 1 inch curling iron so much that I have 2. You can take all the fancy hair tools & shove them in a closet. I I’m in my 50s so we were taught to style your hair with a good brush & a curling iron. I curl my hair in sections & then spray it with hair spray lightly. After it cools, finger comb the curls & I am good. Boom!

So disappointed with the button placement. It is too easy to bump the button and turn it off when using it and not realizing it. It gets bumped off almost every time i use it....so frustrating!! I have always used Conair brand hair products and have always been pleased with them; but i will be throwing this one away and looking to replace it.

This curling iron is either the 2" or the 1 1/2 ". Im pretty positive it is the 1.5. This barrell is very wide. I used it thinking it wpuld be good for my thick long hair, but the barrel is way too big to contain! The curls did not hold. I had the heat to the max, and I waited for curls to set before flipping my head up and down to loosen the curls. The curls fell and became invisible waves. I had to recurl a few pieces. Overall, this product was not right for my type of hair, but hopefully it works for others!

This iron is AMAZING! I have very thick hair and many hot tools don’t work well with my hair. This iron works perfect! It gets hot enough (without having to even use the highest setting!) and it’s very smooth on the hair (I’ve tried curling irons where the material of the iron just feels rough on the hair…maybe this ceramic is the way to go) Also heats up quickly. For the price you can’t get better.

This curling iron constantly ripped my hair out! No matter what I tried. Also the button is in a really bad spot. When curling, as much as I tried to avoid it, I kept hitting the button and it would turn off. It’s almost like you can’t curl without hitting it. So annoying!
