Worst lid ever!
My husband bought the west loop 3.0 This is the worst lid ever!! It’s difficult to Open and clean, I’ve had the lid closed and screwed on with hot tea in the mug and opened the top only to find the inner lid popped open! I accidentally tipped my cup one day and my tea spilled everywhere and the lid was closed with the lock on. The inner part of the lid is also too bulky and heavy! Please Go back to the previous lids!

Really like the auto seal and the lock
This was my first Contigo travel mug. I had other brands with auto seal. I like the lock on this one. I use them for hunting and I can put it in my backpack not worry about it leaking out while traveling through the woods. It would be nice if it had options on lids that didn’t have an auto seal for it for different uses.

Best for coffee I've ever had
I LOVE this mug. It really is leaking proof. You don't taste anything except what you are drinking. NO metal or chemical taste at all. The best cup for coffee I've ever used. And I've had hundreds of coffee cups. Lol. You press the big silver button, that opens the drink hole. Push the little lock on the side of it to keep that hole closed tightly. Then throw it into bag & go. Yes it works that well. No spills. Make sure cover is on correctly & tight. Believe it or not, but my coffee actually tastes better in this cup. Stays hot long time. Enjoy it like we do. My husband also loves it. We've tried several cups & this is the right one. The button is in the perfect place. Just need to remember to push it. Lol. It becomes natural fast. Trust me you will love it.

I love this mug!
I love this mug! I needed one that is completely leakproof as I carry it sideways in a messenger bag. I love the color and texture of the body, and how easy it is to use and it holds the right amount for me (16 oz.). One hand, just press the button. Definitely recommend. Plus, it comes with a lifetime (limited) guarantee.

Defective Bottom
This mug was delivered and it Wobbles when placed on any table. The Bottom Must have been made with an Uneven mold which causes it to Wobble when placed on any flat surface. Cannot recommend until I receive One that is Stable and stands still on a flat surface.

Not offering different tops for the new 3.0 desgin
I originally gave a five-star review for the Contigo 2.0 cup style lid with the flat top where hot liquids do not burn your upper lip now I'm giving you one star you lost four stars cuz you do not offer the same style top for the 3.0 design where hot liquid pours into your upper lip and burns your skin

Even better than my old Contigo cup
I lost my last Contigo travel mug, and was very sad. This one is even better! I love the new lid, the way it comes open, and that it can be put in the dishwasher. It's still the same great Contigo insulation. Coffee stays hot in it for hours.

Why mess with perfection?
West loop is my favorite water bottle of any brand by far. Love one handed operation with no annoying pop up top. I own many. But WHY oh WHY did you have to change that perfect top!?!?!?! The new lid is hard to pop open to clean and water collects in there only to drip out later when drinking.. Are there really that many people who leave their tea bag hanging in the cup?? The lip you drink from is also steeper so now those few little drops collect in there and drip out. I'm holding on to my old models for dear life!! (Thanks for making the new and old lids non-interchangeable. ☹️)

Contigo West Loop
I have been a Contigo West Loop fan for years. I love the self-closing feature, as the contents stay hot for hours. It's also easy to clean. However, I had one fail, and it stopped keeping my coffee hot. I submitted a claim, and they replaced it free of charge.

I don't really find myself needing a self-close mug, instead of just one that I manually close, but I still wouldn't use this one. I found it difficult to grip considering where the button was located to open. It required more grip strength than I wanted to use sip coffee. You needed to use your entire hand, rather than just a thumb which would have seemed more intuitive. Even once opened the button being so close to the top of the mug lead to it being a little difficult to tilt back to actually drink (it always felt my hand was in the way)

Fancy new lid on west loop 3.0
I’ve been using Contigo leakproof travel mugs since they first came out. I’m a spiller, so these products are essential. I’m always excited to see how Contigo redesigns their leak proof lids to make cleaning easier. The west loop 3.0 is so different that can’t even figure out how the beverage gets past the closed lid. I have high hopes for this model. Please tell us, Contigo, how does it work???
