Q: Is this certified lead-free? A yes or no is what I'm looking for.
A: In other words, yes it does.
submitted bymelanie - 11 months agoA: Hello! We regularly employ rigorous third-party testing to ensure that our Slow Cookers meet or exceed all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, including those related to lead content. Consumers should feel confident that our Slow Cookers are safe to use. The glaze of our ceramic pots is a silicate made of quartz, feldspar and clay. The glaze is covered over the pot, fired at high temperature to melt the glaze and then cooled down. The glaze liquid is then turned into coating the same as glass film on the surface of the pot. This does not contain PTFE & PFOA. The FDA specifies allowable amounts of lead, cadmium and other substances. All the glazes that we use meet or exceed FDA requirements. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am -5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Q: Do you lock lid while cooking
A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For the Crock-Pot 7-Quart Cook & Carry One Touch Programmable Slow Cooker, you should not lock the lid while cooking. The lid-locking mechanism is designed for spill-proof transport only, once cooking is complete. During cooking, it’s important to leave the lid unlocked to allow proper pressure and steam regulation. Locking the lid while cooking could impact performance or cause safety issues. If you have any more questions, please contact us using the Contact Us form on the website or through LiveChat so we can help you further. We’re available Monday through Friday, 9 am—8 pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Crockpot Consumer Care

Q: Is there a sel on the inside of the lid to keep liquids inside.
A: Hello, thanks for your question about the Crock-Pot® 7-Quart Cook & Carry™ One Touch Programmable Slow Cooker. Yes, the lid features a gasket-style seal around the edge, designed to help minimize spills and keep moisture and heat in during cooking and transport. When the lid is securely locked using the Cook & Carry™ latching system, it creates a tighter seal to help prevent leaks, perfect for on-the-go meals or potlucks! Just keep in mind: while the seal helps reduce spills, it’s not 100% leakproof if the unit is tipped or turned upside down, so always keep it upright during transport. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via our Contact Us form on our website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am - 5 pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Crockpot® Consumer Care

Q: How can you switch it to warm manually? Say after I cook food and unplug it to transfer, can I replug it in and set it to warm?
A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you can manually switch it to the "Warm" setting after cooking. Once your food has finished cooking and you’ve unplugged the unit to transfer it, simply plug it back in when you're ready. Then, press the "Warm" button on the control panel. The display will confirm the setting, and the unit will begin maintaining a safe serving temperature. The "Warm" function is designed to keep food at a safe temperature, not to reheat or cook from cold. So it's perfect for keeping your meal ready to serve after transport. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via our Contact Us form on our website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am - 5 pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Crockpot® Consumer Care

Q: Is this a cool touch crockpot where the outside doesn't get hot?
A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. The Crock-Pot 7qt Cook & Carry One Touch Programmable Slow Cooker does not feature a cool-touch exterior; the exterior, including the handles, can get hot during use. This is because the heating element wraps around the sides of the unit, which is typical for most slow cookers. We recommend using a pot holder when touching it during cooking. If you have any more questions, please contact us using our Contact Us form on the website or through LiveChat so we can help you further. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am – 8 pm Eastern Time.
