Cuisinart Burr Grind and Brew 10 Cup Coffee Maker

Easy to use, coffee tastes great, grinder very loud. Wish there was a grind the night before option.

This is our 2nd grind and brew. This one is even better than the last! Love having freshly ground coffee waiting for me in the morning.

I absolutely love my Burr Grind & Brew 10-Cup Coffeemaker! The built-in burr grinder is a game changer—it delivers a rich, fresh flavor every single time because the beans are ground right before brewing. I also appreciate how customizable it is; I can easily adjust the grind size and strength to match my taste preferences. The 10-cup capacity is perfect for mornings when I’m making coffee for the whole family, but it also works just as well for smaller batches. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours without burning it, which is such a bonus compared to traditional glass carafes. The design is sleek, modern, and easy to use. Replacing our old Cuisinart Coffeemaker we’ve had for the past 13 years; an easy enough transition. Using it like our old unit, everything seems to be working as expected. It’s unclear to me how the strength setting is changing anything from pot to pot (this is specifically why I rated it 4/5). We have resorted to only filling the hopper with that pot’s beans as even at its weakest setting it’s generating far more grounds (using more beans) than we did using our old Maker. Kinda defeats the purpose of the hopper rather than refilling the individual pot required on our old unit. The unit is also slightly taller than our old unit, so it just barely fits on the counter under the cupboards. There is no extra room to place it on a tray to catch any overflow should someone forget to fully empty the last pot from the carafe before brewing a new pot.

My original until quit working within a year. They replaced it for free. Then the 2nd unit quit working within 2 years. Now they will not replace my unit even though it is only 2 years old. I also purchased a stand alone grinder which also stopped working (the blade fell off) and they will not warranty that unit either. Unfortunately, I was very happy with Cuisinart up until now. I will no longer recommend their products.

The coffee grinder and brewer work well. I really like the ability to either grind beans or use pre-ground coffee. I have a separate burr grinder that I used to grind beans before getting this combination and this works just as well. The thermal carafe has a design issue - it is very difficult to get the last cup of coffee out.

I bought this earlier this year and have a love hate relationship with it. I love the convenience of fresh ground coffee but it uses too many beans to make 1 pot of coffee. It probably uses 4-5 times more coffee to make a pot vs normal pre ground coffee. I have no idea what the strength settings do as the ground size does not change based on the setting. I thought spending more on a burr grinder would be beneficial but most of my ground coffee is small “chunks” of coffee vs fine ground coffee.

We purchased our first grind and brew coffee machine weeks ago. We are enjoying the simple process of pouring our favorite beans and making as little as 2 cups or as many as 10 cups . If you prefer pre ground coffee you can shut off the grinder. A great feature!

Have had this maker for quite some time now and absolutely love it! Before going to bed, I set the timer for 15 minutes before my alarm clock is set to go off in the morning. Nothing beats getting up in the morning to the aroma of fresh coffee. Except maybe coming back into the house after walking the dog and having another wonderful cup when I am cold.

Coffee is ground to only one level; cannot be ground finer for more robust coffee. Coffee is not very hot and does not stay hot in carafe.

It's a great coffee maker. The only reason it get 4 stars and not 5 is because you cannot manipulate the grind and the percolation doesn't seem to extract as much out of the coarse grinds as I would prefer. However I'm the type of person who wants their dark roast coffee to be strong enough to show up on a drug test... soo, yeah it's a great machine

Don’t care for it very hard to clean, Pot doesn’t fit in dishwasher. Also it doesn’t keep the coffee hot more like Luke warm. I am sorry I purchased it.

I have owned a Cuisinart Grind and Brew for many years. After many years, when I have to replace them, the model seems to improve. This is the best version yet. It is so much easier to clean and maintain. The thermal carafe has also improved; It doesn't drip like the old one. A thermal carafe is so much better than the old hot plates that used to burn the coffee in the glass carafes. I know it's an expensive purchase, but the quality of the coffee I have every morning is outstanding. It is well worth the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is simply the best coffee maker I have ever used. The coffee is fantastic. the burr grinding makes all the difference. I have used the blade version of this in the past and find this newer machine is much quieter. Of course you still hear the grinding process, but you don't wake up the whole house. I like a dark rich cup of coffee and this machine delivers coffee shop quality coffee, perhaps better. You can adjust the strength of your coffee very early so there is no issue here for your lighter cup preferences.I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it highly. Keep the hopper full and you won't have any issues with running out of beans. The thermal pot keeps your coffee hot all day long, yes all day, so you can enjoy that mid afternoon cup without having to remake a pot.

The carafe for this machine is terrible. love thermal carafes for coffee. However, the pouring feature of this carafe is awful. When pouring from this carafe, coffee spills out regularly. Don’t pour it over important papers or clothing. Pour it over something you can wipe it up because more often than not, it's going to spill. This is especially true for the last little bit of coffee in the carafe. You have to turn the thing upside down to get all the coffee to pour out. This also causes a spill. The carafe is poorly designed. It is hard to imagine why such an impressive machine was put on the market with such a poorly designed carafe. Most disappointing, when I contacted Cuisinart and shared my feedback, I was brushed aside. I was told that if I didn't like it, I could try returning it to the store where I bought it. How about listening to your customers and designing a better product? If I had it to do over again, I would choose a different brand. I will not buy another Cuisinart machine until they produce a better product.
