Great Coffee Maker, but Two Issues Need Attention
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cuisinart Coffee Maker – Works Great, but a Couple of Issues Need Attention I received my new Cuisinart coffee maker on August 15, 2026, and after using it for several weeks, I wanted to share my experience. Overall, the coffee maker works very well and performs as I expected based on the many Cuisinart products I have purchased over the years. I have generally been very satisfied with Cuisinart’s products, and this coffee maker is no exception when it comes to brewing coffee. However, I have encountered two issues that I believe Cuisinart should address: 1. Auto-Off Setting Is Lost When Power Is Interrupted This is the most significant issue I have encountered. Whenever there is a power interruption, the clock must be reset, but the Auto-Off setting must also be reset. I live in Florida, where occasional power outages are not unusual. I did not realize that the Auto-Off setting had been reset following a power interruption until I discovered that the coffee remaining in the pot was only lukewarm after approximately three hours. I normally have the Auto-Off feature set for four hours. It would be much more convenient if the Auto-Off setting were retained after a power interruption, or if there were some indication that the setting had been reset. Having to remember to reprogram this feature after every power outage is inconvenient and could easily go unnoticed. 2. Coffee Level Indicator Is Not Accurate The remaining coffee level indicator also does not appear to accurately reflect the amount of coffee left in the carafe. Even when the carafe is completely full, the indicator only registers approximately 3/4 full. As the coffee is consumed, the indicator drops rather quickly. When the gauge indicates that the carafe is empty, I typically still have approximately three cups of coffee remaining. While this does not affect the operation of the coffee maker, it makes the level indicator unreliable and limits its usefulness. Overall Despite these two issues, I am pleased with the coffee maker and it produces excellent coffee. These problems do not prevent me from using the machine, but they are important shortcomings that I hope Cuisinart will address in future models. I would still recommend the coffee maker, but potential buyers should be aware of these two issues—particularly the need to reset the Auto-Off feature following a power interruption.

Love my coffee maker
So happy I found this coffee maker. I didn’t want a carafe or a Keurig. I got the best of both worlds. 12 cup coffee maker with a dispenser. Absolutely love it.

Well worthwhile.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad to see this coffeemaker back. Over the years had 3 of them and then Cuisine seemed to stop making them. Convenient to use, coffee always hot, easy to clean. Best coffeemaker for real coffee lovers.

NEVER BUY
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my THIRD. All have a constant leak from the “on demand” after about a year. The ONLY reason I tried #2 and #3 is because they were replacements under warranty. Never again! Trash. Now the original is out of warranty so Cuisnart does NOT care

We're sorry to hear about your experience with multiple Coffee on Demand® Coffee Makers and understand how frustrating it must be to encounter the same issue repeatedly. To help prolong the life of the dispensing mechanism, we recommend regular cleaning of the dispenser area and following the descaling instructions outlined in the manual, as mineral buildup can sometimes affect performance over time. We understand how frustrating it is when your original unit is outside its warranty period. Thank you for sharing your feedback; it has been forwarded to the appropriate team, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your concerns.

Love this coffee maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product a month ago and I’m very happy with it. I had purchased basically the same thing 11 years ago and could now longer get a replacement part which is the reason I purchased this one. It’s so sleek and clean looking and I love that there’s a light so you can see how much coffee is in your cup as you’re filling and also the clock is lit up. Where is on the old one it was not. Would definitely recommend this.

Do Not Purchase
This is my 3rd coffee maker like this. I returned on already for it not working properly. This one is leaking water and the gauge not reading accurately. I will not purchase another one after this one.

Fix leaking problem
This used to be a 5-star coffee maker that lasted forever! Something changed over the past couple of years in the making of it or the internal design. We tried four in a row and all leaked from the bottom all over the counter. This should be a solvable issue for Cuisinart. I want to love this again. Great warranty but weary from packing & returning!

Best coffee maker design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dad bought my first one of these over 10 years ago. At first, I was irritated at my dad because I had an idea of what a coffee maker should look like and this clearly was not it. I am so glad that Cusinart reimagined the coffee maker. I love this coffee maker. It is easy to program, I wake up to freshly brewed coffee, and the coffee stays hot (2-4 hours depending on which setting you choose) until it comes out. There is no thermal loss, as is usually experienced with carafes. The only downside to this coffeemaker is that because it is not yet ubiquitous, visitors can be a bit flummoxed in the morning when trying to get a cup of coffee.

I keep purchasing this model
This is the third purchase I have made of this same coffeemaker over the last 12ish years. I use it every day and it always delivers a great cup of coffee. Easily programmable for timed brewing. It’s the only coffeemaker that I will purchase. I have even recommended it to family members…who have purchased it also.

Good design but product is not long lasting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On my third one that has died. They are great while they last but this one lasted 11 months. I will enact the warranty but it's disappointing that the product doesn't last. I like the design and that it doesn't have a carafe which is why I keep buying it. But maybe I should look at other brands.

Best Product
This is the 3rd Cuisinart on Demand Coffee Maker we have owned. The prior one was still working well after 10 + years. The Coffee amount indicator wasn't working as a small piece had broken off. That piece is more sizeable in the new one. Love this style. Would highly recommend.

Reliable
Second one of the same. Serves our needs. Must turn dial after auto brew then back to reinitiate auto. Clean light goes on too often with no reason since we use purified water.

Very disappointed
I bought this coffee maker. Was very disappointed in the cord. It was less than 12 inches long. Had to have extension cord to fit to socket.
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 2 months ago
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand the cord length may not be ideal for every kitchen setup; the cord length on this model is an intentional design feature and positioning it closer to a countertop outlet may help provide greater flexibility. Thank you again for your comments, as your feedback helps us evaluate future product enhancements and improvements.

A Long-Time Owner - Honest Review
I’ve owned three Cuisinart DCC-3000 coffee makers over the years, and the fact that I keep buying the same model says a lot about how much I like it. The biggest advantage is the convenience. Instead of pouring from a carafe, you simply press the lever to fill your cup. It’s quick, easy, and much less messy. The coffee stays hot and tastes great even after the brewer automatically shuts off. The built-in Clean reminder is another nice feature. It periodically reminds you to run a cleaning cycle, making routine maintenance easy to remember. Since I have a whole-house water softener, mineral buildup isn’t much of a concern, but I still appreciate the reminder. My biggest complaint is the coffee level gauge. It’s useful, but on every unit I’ve owned, it’s eventually stopped working. Cleaning the coffee reservoir is also a little more work than washing a traditional carafe. I did have one defective unit that had to be returned because the Clean light started flashing during the initial rinse right out of the box. Fortunately, the replacement worked perfectly. If Cuisinart improved the durability of the coffee gauge, updated the display, added smart/Wi-Fi features, and tightened up quality control, this would easily be a five-star coffee maker. Even so, it’s still my go-to coffee maker after all these years.

Coffee on Demand 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker
Only two weeks in using and already the machine is leaking from the dispenser hole where the cup would set underneath. Manual says the coffee dispensing valve may be clogged, but seriously this soon! I have put in a whole house water system to prevent machine wear down, and this just seems crazy I've got to cross my finger every time I use it hoping it doesn't flood the counter. On top of having to clean the heck out of the coffee filter area when grounds just stick to the the water dispensing holes. Very disappointed in this unit and may be returning it this week.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Coffee on Demand® 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker. If coffee is leaking from the dispenser area, we recommend ensuring the dispensing lever returns fully to the closed position, rinsing the dispensing valve with warm water to remove any coffee residue, and confirming the reservoir is not being overfilled beyond the maximum fill line.
