A: why wouldn't you be able to use slats? I've seen plenty of people who use slats instead of the box spring. a box spring will be able to just sit on the lip of the sides with a matress also?

False advertising. Says 4 in one but you have to buy the toddler set up separately. Already spend $200 on the crib thinking everything came with it as pictured and advertised (4 in 1) But you have to buy the toddler part separately for another $80 which is outrageous.

After putting the crib together it has a strong chemical almost like paint thinner smell to it that is making the whole room smell. Looked this up and is common for DaVincis due to VOCs. It’s giving me a headache , do not feel comfortable putting my child in it.

Had this product for over a year and this crib is sturdy! My toddler jumps in it and it is still standing! perfect for transition throughout all ages. I definitely recommend! yes it chips if toddler bites the wood but I stop him and give him a teether to prevent it. Love this crib definitely not upset with this purchase!

5 stars for the value! A couple small areas will need to be buffed/sanded a bit, but overall I’m very happy with this crib. We got the Chestnut color and it gives off a nice wood smell and no strong chemical scent. It did take awhile to put together but it wasn’t difficult, and it feels very structurally sound.

Beautiful crib! I love that the back is solid so you can still use the outlets behind it where little fingers can't reach. I purchased the hunter green crib and three drawer dresser. A word of caution, if you get one of the painted models, be very careful with assembly because the paint will chip if you bump it too hard. I plan to repair two chips on mine with a hunter green colored sharpie. Also (probably because of the paint) the furniture had a chemical odor when unboxing. It's a good idea to allow several days for it to air out before using with a baby.

Bought this about a year ago, and it was fine up until now. My daughter’s about to be a year in a couple months so she’s standing on her own in the crib. Tried to adjust the height of the crib just to find out that you can’t. The three screws towards the bottom are completely different from the screws at the top holding up the mattress. Screw won’t fit in the three other holes because it’s too small. Like???

This was the best wrapped package I’ve ever received. Everything was in perfect condition and all the hardware was there. The instructions called for a two person assembly but I was able to do it myself. I love the mattress multi level adjustment. Absolutely love how it looks. Bought for my grand daughter’s visits.

This is a beautiful looking crib but it has its down sides! Sadly there are some major design flaws. Firstly, there was a flaw in the wood/paint which yes it can be covered. Second, and most annoying the holes were drilled too far in the manufacturing and then was plugged and filled back in. This made it a pain in the butt to put together. Overall, durability and look is there, but don’t expect the product to be manufactured well or for the put-together process to go smoothly without any hiccups.
