We do have two antibacterial soaps you may be interested in; they are our Dawn Antibacterial in Citrus and the second is in Green Apple scent. This has been our preferred dish soap for years, but the new scent formulation is absolutely overpowering. The soap works very well on dishes, but we simply can't live with the smell. Hopefully all the feedback I'm seeing here will spur Dawn to rethink their "improvements;" otherwise, our household will be looking for a new product.

Came here to say I also hate the new scent. It smells like perfume and I honestly thought I got a bad batch. Please go back to old scent. I hope it is only the platinum scent you change. May have to go back to regular dawn.

The only reason I give it a 3 star is because of the scent. It reminds me of mothballs. I absolutely cannot wait until my bottle is empty. Only using it because it does a great job and I don’t want to be wasteful.

The "rain scent" fragrance is not pleasant. It's more of a hospital disinfectant odor. But the liquid does clean the dishes well.

I am so ANGRY.I loved the FRESH SCENT because that actually smelled like nothing. And so I used it for everything from feeding bottles to dishes to cleaning floors. The new scent is horrible, terrible and unbearable.It smells like cheap floor cleaner.Cant wash dishes with this. I felt like vomiting. I wish they hadnt discontinued the fresh scent version.Returning the rain scent version. Guess I will have to stop buying dawn. I wish I knew they were going to discontinue the fresh scent version so I could have stocked some. Bye Dawn for now. Hate the new pathetic change.

We've used regular Dawn for a long time, but upon recommendation from our plumber, we bought the platinum version. Wow! It is so powerful! It cleans so well...everything is extra shiny now! A little goes a long way too, so this bottle will last a long time. I just can't believe something is better than regular Dawn, which was already perfect in my book!

I just tried the Dawn Ultra Platinum with 4X faster grease cleaning and was very satisfied that it performed as promised. I do have a question about use instructions on the back label . "FOR CLEANING BEYOND THE SINK--Add a teaspoon of Dawn to a gallon of warm water. Do not soak - soaking could lead to etching on certain materials." What kind of cleaning does this instruction contemplate? Which materials might be etched?

This new scent reminds me of diaper cream from 15 years ago. I think I’m going to throw away this huge Costco sized bottle because no one in my family can stomach the smell, and we all know teenagers don’t need an extra reason not to do dishes.

Updater ‘refreshing rain scent’ is not refreshing at all. The scent seems to be a floral perfume scent that is really awful. Please bring back the old refreshing rain scent.

This is the only dishwashing liquid dish soap that we use. The platinum four times faster formula is our favorite. It cuts the grease with only half the amount that I normally would use with any other dishwashing liquid. The smell is refreshing. This is our go to product.

I’ve used Dawn my entire life. The new scent, Refreshing Rain, of Dawn Platinum is horrible. The scent is so awful that I will be giving this bottle away and changing to a different brand. Add new scents, but please keep the light original scent that so many of us have loved.

Waste of money. I thought this detergent would be stronger than other versions but it’s the same thing or worse. Not even leaving plates on the sink overnight would it work hard. You will have to do a lot of scrubbing to get grease out. Also, the cap makes you waste a lot of product.

I switched to original Dawn years ago when Palmolive changed their scent. I recently bought a new bottle and the new scent is awful! It smells like perfume from the 80’s. When this bottle is gone I will be shopping for a new brand.
