Not good. These baked terribly -- I made cupcakes; they cooked too fast around the edges with a highly raised center so they were bowler hat shaped in the end. They said to bake for 16-19 minutes so I checked a little before 16 minutes and almost half had edges that were approaching burnt. There is nothing strawberry or even fruit related on the ingredient list, just flavoring and red 40. The flavor is inoffensive but bland and pretty far from delicious.

I used the Strawberry Supreme to make cupcakes for an office birthday luncheon. I even upgraded the ingredients, such as adding my own freeze dried strawberries, to add extra flavor. The cupcakes were moist and rose well, but had no sweetness or strawberry flavor. Very bland and disappointing. They couldn't be salvaged with frosting, so they will go to the birds. What a waste of money!

It’s has been a long time since I bought the strawberry supreme cake mix. It is nothing like it used to be. Flavorless. I’m so disappointed as this was my moms 76th birthday cake. I will not buy it again

What happened? Why in the world would Duncan Hines change a great selling, popular cake flavor? Not only did it mix horribly, but the scent is very off putting. I followed the directions exactly as stated on the box, and not only the scent, but the taste was terrible. It has an oily texture and lacked not only sweetness but any strawberry flavor. Sadly, my life long trust in Duncan Hines is gone and I will be switching brands.

Cake has no flavor besides being sweet. Unfortunately not my first Duncan Hines box that has had this problem recently. Won't be trying their products again for a while.

Why do you call it "Supreme "? You removed the flavor and dried strawberries. I remember opening the box and the aroma of strawberries was aromatic. No longer. It's now "pink" cake. So disappointing.

I have been buying this specific mix (strawberry supreme) for years as it was my son's favorite birthday cake, and it didn't have artificial dyes in it (at least they didn't used to be listed in the ingredients if it did). When I picked up one this month I was very disappointed to see it now has the dreaded Red Lake 40 dye in it. I bought it anyway and after baking the cake per the directions (except I substitute melted butter for some of the oil), I ended up throwing it away. The taste was very bland, the strawberry flavor was hardly noticeable, and there was a slight off-flavor that reminded me of bananas. It was very strange. i will not buy this product again and will switch to just making my own from scratch recipe as there aren't any other brands that are dye-free for this flavor of cake.

This is not the strawberry cake I was expecting. It was extremely disappointing to cut and then taste. There was also an unpleasnlant aftertaste from bith the cake and brand frosting. It was once a go to as a fave for two in a family of 4. We look forward to trying competitive brands and alternatives.

The cake was easy to make, but very bland. Cake no longer has freeze dried strawberries which is why it tastes like nothing now. I don't even know why they're calling this strawberry cake anymore. It's a pink flavorless cake. Duncan Hines used to be my favorite. I'm going to try another brand. I will never buy Duncan Hines again

I was so disappointed in the strawberry cake mix flavor and texture. It did not taste homemade at all. Very odd flavor. I made 6 cake recipes for a large cake and was so embarrassed for my donation. I love Duncan Hines mixes but we have a problem here. Website 3.6 score is not a good rating. I encourage the team to go back to the drawing board.

I was so looking forward to a strawberry cake but noticed when I was frosting it, it smelled like bananas. I thought I was imagining it but when I ate a piece, it tastes more like banana cake than strawberry. Very disappointing. This used to be a favorite in my house. Also the texture wasn’t as moist and fluffy as it used to be. I miss the old recipe.

The cake was ok. I didn't get a strong strawberry scent when I opened the package, which kind of bothered me because in the past, there was a strong strawberry scent. Also I didn't get a strong strawberry when I ate the cake, it was more of she a sweet fruity taste but I wouldn't say it was a strawberry taste. It was a decent cake, and it made for a super easy to bake dessert. I would get it again.

Duncan Hines Strawberry is a wonderful Signature cake mix as are all of their products. One can add gelatin, milk or whatever to make the mix the cake that you want it to be. I am a from scratch baker but there are a couple of cakes my family loves that begin with a cake mix and when I bake them I only Duncan Hines.
