A: You may use this as your only product to remove your makeup and then rinse off. If you prefer to double cleanse, you may follow up with cleanser.
submitted bythe elfcareteam - 7 months agoA: You don’t technically NEED to, but please use a facial cleanser after you rinse this off. Your skin will feel much better not to mention cleaner. Using just this and no face wash after will cause you to breakout I can guarantee.

A: I have used this for about 2ish years now and each container lasts me around 2-3 months even if I use it daily. You don’t need more than a pea sized amount, a little more if your makeup is super heavy.

A: It does temporarily if you don't rinse well enough, but if you rinse thoroughly or follow up with another cleanser in your routine it immediately goes away.

Q: Does this remove waterproof mascara & eyeliner? - but does NOT dry the skin? I had used the Neutrogena makeup remover for waterproof makeup, and it dried out the skin around my eyes, it was horrible.

i had gotten a free sample of this from elf and was so impressed with it i had to get the full size. this is the only way i can completely get off my waterproof mascara. it comes off so easily and it doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin. i 100% recommend this product it’s AMAZING.

I have purchased and re-purchased this so many times - I use it DAILY to remove sunscreen, makeup, etc. and always follow it up with a gel cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and helps to protect my face from feeling overly "stripped" of natural oils after double cleansing. Also, one of the only makeup removers that does not make my sensitive eyes burn/water. Can't recommend this more!

This is the best makeup remover I’ve come across and will stay with. Goes on easy and easy to wipe off. I have noticed that elf raised their prices on their products by at least a dollar on each product. Please keep your products affordable by not raising your prices anymore.

Smells a little funky but works soooo well. Doesn’t dry out my skin or leaves me too oily, melts makeup like it’s butter and easy to remove with a wet cloth or cotton pad. Don’t need a lot to remove a whole face of makeup.

The texture is gel like and pleasant. As a plus the melting balm smells extremely good and makes my nighttime skin routine. Very pleasant. I have to give this 5 stars. I usually take off a star for scent, but I’ll let it slide this time . I have sensitive, clog & acne prone, adult African American skin. Nearly everything will clog my pores or cause a breakout. I rarely wear makeup due to the products I use to remove it, not living up to the hype. Still, I have to wear sunscreen which is already pore clogging for me. I struggled to find a cleansing balm/oil that didn’t break me out or cause irritation. My acne is largely hormonal, but can be caused product/cleansing methods too. I’ve used this elf balm for 3 nights now, and there aren’t any breakouts! My skin hasn’t felt irritated or sensitive as if a breakout is on the horizon, either. I was worried given the slight scent it has, but it has not bothered me. The balm melts easily and washes/wipes off well. I do use the Clear Skin towels to go over my face prior to my second cleanser. Nonetheless, I will purchase the larger size over Abolene, Clinique, Farmacy, Neutrogena makeup wipes, and Micellar water (including the favorite). I have had issues with all of those products whether it’s to actually get the day off/out of my skin, or just irritation. Take that with a grain of salt, but I wanted to share in case someone else is tired of spending money they don’t have to maintain acne free skin. I’m so glad they had a mini version. I felt happy trying this knowing that even if it failed, I’ll be okay losing $5 rather than $35.
