Ember won’t honor their one year warranty

My ember mug stopped working after eight months after very light use. I tried using a second charger and it still would not charge my cup. I reached out to Ember support multiple times but they have yet to reply to me. I cannot in good conscience ever recommend a company that will not honor their one year warranty or even care to reply to their customers email.

It lasted a little over a year then the battery died. Tried to contact support. Got ghosted. The battery was lasting under an hour towards the end.
Engineering and Quality Control Lacking

Bought my first mug four years ago, it lasted two years before the enamel on the bottom started flaking off. (It was always hand washed and never saw a single metal utensil of any kind.) Got a replacement two years ago, and now it's doing the same thing... so the mugs seem to have a two-year expected life. That's better than the charging coasters, though... they only last about a year before the pins lose their spring and stop working entirely. (I've had four of those now.) Given the cost of these things, I think it's reasonable to expect a longer life.

I’ve had mine for 4 years so far n I thought I’d give a little feedback. Ybest cup I’ve ever bought n is still as it was when it came out the box, the battery is exactly the same capacity as it was to start with, theres loads of different options im the app it’s too for various different drinks but I just use mine for coffee n it keeps it at my desired temperature, I can fall asleep n wake up n hour later n it’s still the same temperature what more can you ask for, what an invention Downsides are the cost for the mug itself is just outrageous for a cup but it’s worth it personally and the battery built inside it is eased quite high inside the mug so your not quite getting a mugs worth of coffee that you see, you probably loose a third in battery too apart from those 2 little things that I can livr with are the downside unfortunately, I hope that doesn’t deter you because as I said, 4 years later n it’s still like brand new and gets plenty of action too 👌🤫😉
Charging saucer only lasts like 4 months

Charging saucer only lasts like 4 months, I went through 2 of them now. I only hand washed the mug and did my best to thoroughly dry it before putting it on the charging saucer, but any amount of condensation by the metal nodules will eventually cause one of them to get stuck and stop making contact. Not worth the effort to try and dig it out, tough to take apart. Disappointed, I did use the mug a lot and when it worked, it worked pretty well.

I got this as a gift about a month ago, this cup is so amazing, it keeps my coffee hot down to the last drop. You can set your own temp and the actual cup gets hot.

My son gave this to me for Mother's Day 2 years ago. I was skeptical, thinking it was like the old warmers that used to sit on the desk. Once I learned about and mastered it, I am hopelessly dependent on my Ember
Staining

I was given this mug for Christmas. I have a love hate relationship with it. On one hand it is a fantastic piece of kit. On the other hand I can't clean it. I am a tea drinker and the stain it leaves on the mug is diabolical. I have tried everything, but to no avail. Suggestion: buy a dark coloured mug if you are a tea drinker.

Concept is great. And when it worked it was wonderful. Biggest issue is when it stops charging because of plate. No phone # to contact and customer service is the wurst

My husband bought me this mug for a gift and I LOVE IT! I used to zap my coffee several times every morning because I don’t like Luke warm coffee. This mug is awesome and keeps my coffee hot the entire time.

Cup is awesome however I am on my third charger. Poor design that has two spring loaded points that over time do not spring enough to charge.
Coaster Design Flaw and No Support

The mug works fine but the battery loses charge quickly and the CHARGING COASTERS BREAK. More specifically, the interior charging pin becomes recessed after a few months of use and it becomes IMPOSSIBLE TO CHARGE THE MUG. I have had two coaster break in the exact same way so it is a design flaw. Regardless of how good a review I would leave for the mug, the fact that it eventually can't be charged, makes the system completely useless. Perhaps worst of all, they have not responded to my online support requests and they have no phone support.

Good afternoon. This coffee cup is very innovative and very well thought out. It has the terrible result of failing to load and also fails to connect. My wife has an iPhone, and I have a Samsung. It was useless. It's incredibly frustrating to get overpriced for a simple cup, and worse still, I haven't used it for more than 20 coffees and less than a year after receiving it.

Our ember mug just never won our hearts. It’s such a great concept but poorly executed. The round bottom makes it tip over easily with the slightest bump. It quit charging after 6 months. Now it’s just a mug. A very expensive mug.
