I had wanted to replace my Garmin 935 which I had for several years. The Epix pro has exceeded my expectations, the battery life +30 days is true. The additional flashlight and multiple weather cities is an added bonus. Will continue to enjoy my new watch for years to come.

So longtime Garmin user who switched to AWU briefly. When coming back to Garmin I saw some great deals across the lineup. The Epix Pro Gen2 is the perfect balance between high end build, features, features, features, and a bright screen with excellent battery life. It has exceeded all my expectations (and the flashlight is fantastic…never knew how useful). I highly recommend this high end excellent watch. I’m a runner, use Garmin coach, hiker, and general fitness and sleep tracker.

I've been using the Epix Pro since Thanksgiving/2023. This was an upgrade from Fenix 6 solar. I enjoyed my Fenix but prefer the oled/touch screen feature of the Epix and was concerned about battery life as Epix doesn't have a solar version. but this thing here lasts for two weeks with daily external exercises (using GPS) for 1h30/2h00. This is the 51mm model (where as Fenix was the 47mm and battery never lasted that long). All in all, I am very happy with my upgrade (note: that flashlight can't be more handy)

If you can afford this watch, prefer a sports watch over a smart watch, and don't mind that it doesn't have the polished refinement of an Apple watch, you'll probably love this one. I had watched the youtube reviews and most people loved this over the apple watch, but for me the price and functionality wasn't worth it. I'll admit that I'm an Apple fanboy, and do enjoy using my apple watch ultra, and just like most other apple products, the polished finish, smoothness, and integration with my iphone is top notch. I didn't use all of the fitness apps the garmin watch had to offer, so the price to me was a bit too steep. I do love the look and battery life of the garmin, though. It is an excellent sports watch, but if you're like me and have tons of time w/an apple watch, you might find the switch hard to do.

Just buy it. The long battery life, flashlight, and rugged build quality make this the garmin to get in my opinion. I use the flashlight multiple times a day, and it's bright enough i dont even carry a light on me anymore. If you are on the fence between this and any other model, get this one because ive tried them and they just don't compare.

This is my 4th Garmin smartwatch and the leaps they’ve made in the last 10 years are incredible. Compared to my previous Fenix 6, the epix pro 2 is next level. On the run heart rate data seems much improved. Sleep tracking seems a bit more in line with how I felt the night went. I have exactly 0 issues viewing the screen in direct sunlight, a common thing you’ll hear about any watch with this type of display. The display itself is absolutely a joy to look at. The battery life of the 51mm is incredible, even longer than my Fenix 6 in gps mode. And the 51mm doesn’t look that much bigger on my wrist than the 46mm Fenix did. Overall I could not be happier with my choice in buying this watch!

This is my second Garmin Watch. The amoled screen makes this watch exceptional. I do short triathlons obstacle course raaces and training. This watch covers all bases. It has allowed me to improve my fitness substantially as a senoir.

I am an ex Apple watch user and jumped ship to the Epix Pro series and all I have to say is that I should have jumped sooner! These are well built watches that have great metrics and the use of physical buttons makes the user experiences very dynamic. Highly recommend them to anyone!

I have been using a Garmin Fenix 6X since Covid started in 2020. During that time, I fell in love with the battery life, as I had come from using an Apple watch. I never had a real issue with the MIP screen, but I still felt left out when I looked at others using an AMOLED device. When the Garmin Epix was released, I loved the new screen but felt that it simply did not offer enough to warrant my switching from my beloved Fenix 6X. However, when the Epix Pro 51mm was released, I finally felt the time was right. My biggest worry was if the battery life would make me regret my choice. Let me say that the battery seems even better than my Fenix. I use it with the always-on set to gesture mode only, and the Oxygen SP set to manual. This gives me 30 days if I don't do any workouts. However, if you own a Garmin, you plan to use the activities at some point. My use case is about 1 GPS (multi-track) per day. Generally about 1-2 hours per activity. With this type of usage, I get easily one week without needing to charge, and when I do charge, I still have a few days left. I have never come close to running out of battery. The screen is beautiful, and with my aging eyes (needing reading glasses now), I find it much easier to read the complications without my glasses.

I bought this a month ago and I am so happy I did. I upgraded from epix 47mm that I got about 2 years ago, this one feels much better on my wrist and I love the longer battery life. I run about 1.5 hours a day, so it helps not to have to charge once a week.

I have been a Suunto user for years. I've been very happy with their products and had no reason to look at other watches in this class. So how did I get to the Epix pro 2? Over the years I've been using my InReach mini a good amount in the backcountry skiing, fishing, and climbing. I felt it was time to have a watch that can be integrated with the InReach. This now allows me to send messages from my watch if needed. So, by doing this I have entered the Garmin watch world. So far, it's been amazing. I will know a lot more after some of my bigger backcountry ski trips this winter, but right now it's working great. Battery life has been amazing. The satellite sync has been really fast and seems to be very accurate. Charge time is quick. Workout data has been a lot of fun to look over and actually make adjustments. I went with the Epix pro 2 because I wanted the amoled display. I want to see my watch in all conditions and I believe this is the best display on the market. No issues at all in the sun and in low light, when you really need it, it's perfect. I cannot believe how much I've used the flashlight. I think I use this feature the most. The only downfall is you need to spend time setting it up. I'm not sure how you would make it easier, but this thing has so many features it can be a little overwhelming but if you're a data junky you'll be in heaven. Bottomline...if you are an outdoor person looking for a watch that can keep up with you and your activities, I'm not sure you're going to find a better watch. Really happy with my purchase, and yes, it's not cheap hence the 4star rating, and it's a daily driver for me so it will always be my wrist.
