A: Well, considering this hair color is the ULTRA COOL PLATINUM (not the Ultra Light Platinum referenced above by Garnier smh lol) which is their Lightest Platinum shade available.... 40 volume probably!

Ultra Light Platinum is best for anyone with natural hair between light brown and dark brown. For people with currently color treated hair, there are special considerations for the color result you can achieve. Because of this, we do not recommend shade PL1 or PL2 for hair that has been previously colored shade 80 “Medium Blonde,” or darker. Also, not recommended for heavily highlighted or relaxed hair. The R3 light intense auburn was so much better with the old formula so disappointed they changed it to this new ultra whatever color it’s too red not even a light auburn looking color Anymore use the old R3 for years and now I had no choice but to switch and look for my old R3 in different brands sooooo far it’s going on a year and still can’t find anything close to there old brand colors so I OFFICIALLY GIVE UP ON GARNIER BRAND after trying multiple different of there now new formula colors it’s a bummer they had the formula so well and they changed it on us it’s not even remotely close to the colors it was before there so ugly now

My daughter has dark brown hair, and I have light brown hair. We both used this product, and our results were the same - orange. Neither of us got anywhere near some kind of blonde, let alone platinum blonde. I understand results will vary, but ours were way off. Very disappointing.

This will not give you purple hair. Your hair will be red and it will fade very quickly. My sister and I had the same result. Very disappointed, I tried it a second time just to see if it would change things. It did not.

so i wanted to dye my hair red.. i dyed my hair this color thinking it would be like cute. BUT NO!!! even tho i used the whole thing and applied it EVERYWHERE it was patchy, only the ends and my roots were dyed red.. and the color!! it was UGLY! i did save it by dying my hair a brown a couple days later, it still stayed but it wasnt as bad. its cute fadded tho, my hair is a copper orange now and it wasnt a golden brown before. overall i dont recommend this for people who have brown hair and arent willing to bleach it before.

Color is very pretty but it does fade. I leave it on for 35 minutes starting at the roots and grays. Once I finish coloring I then time 35 minutes. Color is super pretty and bold. It does fade so you need to color almost every 4 weeks to maintain.

I use a lot of garnier products and thought this would be less damaging to my hair so I tried it out to end up with a burnt scalp yellowish roots so disappointing had to run to Sally's to get some toner never again.

When Garnier first came out, I used their products exclusively because they left my hair soft and manageable, and their true red hair dye was a gorgeous color without orangey tints. I received a ton of compliments on it from hairstylists, too. I was VASTLY disappointed that Garnier no longer carries that shade of red, and hoped that this Nutrisse R2 medium auburn would get me close to that shade of true fire red. And it didn't even come close!! Thanks for nothing, Garnier. Let me know if y'all decide to bring it back. Otherwise, your products are a huge waste of time and money!

I've been using LB1 for several years. My natural color is light/medium brown, but it has a lot of red pigment and in the past has been difficult to lighten. I was amazed at how well LB1 lightened it. I don't know if lightened blonde is supposed to fade, but mine does and I end up with really light blonde hair which I like. When I touch up the roots...yes, they are less light than the rest of the hair, but it still looks good. The one problem I'm having now though is that I have some gray hairs especially in the front. The coolness in the HB1 colors those gray hairs a dark violet gray. Fortunately, that fades away after a few washes.

Works great on my all natural dark brown hair, but my mistake i needed 2 boxes and the back middle wasnt wet and soaked enough so left it a medium like brassy brown-copper I guess Can I put a other box on the uneven parts ? I also sectioned it that my top layer is still my natural color, i want to achieve a white as paper color with a little icy ❄️
