Today as we were using the older model after the microwave finished a 1 minute cycle it would not shut off. Opened door, still running. Over cooked food. Had to unplug to shut down. Plugged back in, still running. Old Model:JES11455H1SS SN:GL222076A DOM 2018. Thank you for service. Look forward to long life of new model.

Keypad problems
Extremely difficult to see keypad and anything other than brightest of light. Keypad also requires too much force to press the buttons especially for older folks like me

Only 1 Flaw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased this item and everything is working fine. The child proof door lock was easy to disable since we don't need it. Fits perfectly on our counter. I like the stainless steel finish. Goes well with my other appliances. Would have rated this a 5 star item,however,the one flaw is the control panel is very dark and not easy to read even with all the kitchen lighting.

We bought the same one that we had for 8+ years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are two senior citizens. We bought tis model to replace the exact same model which died yesterday. We use our microwave for breakfast, soups, frozen dinners, etc.. our old one lasted 8+ years. We were a little concerned about the wattage but it cooked or warmed up everything we threw into it. So we were delighted when we found the same one available today. And we are planning on 8× years again.

Looks great in my kitchen!

It’s performed well the few times I’ve used it and I was able to disengage the child lock with no problems. The button to open the door is a little stiff but not terrible. The capacity is more than enough for my needs. It’s much quieter than my previous GE microwave, which finally gave out after 20 years.

Ok on first use.
Just unboxed the GE countertop microwave unit. The instructions were pretty clear. First batch of popcorn came out well. Very few unpopped kernels and no burning. Enough control to cover everything I am likely to need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box this appears to be a well constructed, efficient, and value driven microwave oven. I like that you can run the unit for specific times. For example 45 seconds. My previous non GE unit only had intervals of 10 seconds. Though not needed in my household yet (no grandchildren), the child safety lock on the door could come in handy someday. Also like the bright light inside the unit while operating. Previous unit did not have that either. Don’t know how excited you can get about a microwave these days, but this unit has some nice features for the money spent on sale at a big box store.

Works well for a good price
I bought the microwave 6 months ago, but now when I press the button to start, sometimes it does not warm up the food, so I have to press it again.

Highly Recommend
Straight forward nice sized; not too big and not too small. Large glass plate for turntable. Great capacity. Controls very easy to use. If you have no children just disable the safety door lock; instructions easy to follow. This microwave is “very quiet”!!! Has 4 beeps at the end of a cycle. Heats evenly and well. I have the 1.1 CuFt. Plenty of wattage.
