We'd like to help out with the rattling you are noticing. We recommend checking that the turntable is completely in place, allowing the turntable to rotate smoothly. We also suggest checking that the microwave is level and even. It can also be normal to hear a dull thumping sound during operation, this is the mechanical parts of the microwave as it cooks. Just purchased this countertop microwave to replace our built in GE. Nice sleek design and the power controls are easy to operate. This is a bit smaller than what we had, but looks can be deceiving. Fits all size containers, cups and dishes. So far so good 😊.

Just got this microwave and am unhappy that there is no way to mute/shut off the annoying beeping when any button is pressed. Luckily this is just a fill in machine until I can purchase a new over the range model that can be muted. It is also annoying that I can't post this review until I come up with a nickname that hasn't already been used by another reviewer.

Barely lasted a year and today doesn’t power on at all. We had the same model that lasted a little over 2 years and when it stopped working, we bought the same exact model again thinking it just a fluke. Nope. Our GE washing machine recently died too after 4 years. No more GE

Easy to use right out of the box. Took some getting used to the beep when the cycle is done - keeps intermittently chirping until the door is opened. Another new feature is if the food is left in the micro after opening/closing the door after the cycle has finished - if another cycle is initiated on the touch pad nothing happens and a reminder that food is in the micro appears. A good safety feature I think - keeps the absent minded among us from cooking dinner into a cinder block ! All in all the size and power are a good fit for my kitchen. Thanks GE !
